Don't shoot me...but...while I agree that JLo and Harry were rude, the song choice was a poor one for that instance, and I did not think he was particularly good at singing either song. He was put through, surprisingly to me, BECAUSE of the choice and putting the judges in an untenable position, not because he was good...in my opinion. I don't see two wrongs making a right and I would not expect him to make the final cut....but I am often wrong so who knows....

Re Adam and twitter sharing....I expect it is purposeful and a good thing, generally, that Adam is keeping much more to himself. My only issue or concern is that he has built this amazing reputation and perception of being open and communicative, especially with his fans. And that has lessoned lately. I hope it does not impact that reputation and his social media relevance...that is my biggest concern. We will all survive without twitter parties and attention.....there are lots of other things and people to capture our interest.....and perhaps all that special attention was part of a necessary process for him and his career ... not sure whether to hope for that or not! ...

Well Aleks, I thought I'd highlight some quotes from your post but found it too difficult to leave anything out.  I know saying "you made some great points!" doesn't seem to convey much but just know how brilliant your mind is!

Here's a question that is only partially inspired by Aleks.  Did I miss an interview where Adam said he will not be as emotionally open in his next album or the making of his next album? All I can remember (and my head is cloudy from a head cold) is that he said he didn't want to share too early about the DIRECTION of the album.  How included the fans were during production phases of Trespassing or whether the album ultimately became a  hit or not seems irrelevant to how he feels about being emotionally vulnerable.  Based on his previous two albums--and all we have ever heard him say or seen him do, Adam not only doesn't mind baring himself for the world to see, but it is his driving force.  As Aleks said, he can't contain himself-except when he has to. So much of this fandom seems to be expecting him to continue to be closed off now and for his songs to not be as vulnerable (and now that I think about it, secretive about future serious relationships as well).  I will admit that I will be quite sad if that is true because I prefer to think Adam knows he can trusts us with his heart, doesn't give a shit about those who don't get it, and really can't wait "to share with us all where [his] heart and mind are thriving".  There's a lot going on behind the scenes including not having a declared label, so I don't want to read anything into him not being able to say anything definite about this album yet. Maybe he has some loose ends still.  Please direct me to an interview if I am wrong.

ps if this idol guy was coming out of the closet with that song then he was saying he was transgender.  Or he just picked the wrong song to send a clear message with!!.
