Lmao yeah , as if Kurt would be interested in going to the playboy mansion and playing with the ~bunnies . Could be a fantasy "what if" or dream sequence. Also, they can tweak the lyrics of the song. Maybe . . . They still could've picked a better song .

The original "Rockstar" rumor came from the recording of the guide vocal. So I am going with that. As much as I hate to admit it, I think MJ got the rumor right this time! The lyrics to the first song work, in a Glee concept IMO. The Nickelback song is crap! What is a guide vocal, you ask? Glee records a vocal of the songs being used each week, with generic singers, and they are given to the "stars" as a way to help learn the lyrics. The regulars often have several new songs each week, so it is a tool for them.

He is up to 24.34% of the vote. Doesn't sound like a lot, but the second place is at 13.1% and only one more candidate is over 10%. So Adam's numbers are impressive. Not sure that Out Magazine meant for their poll to be slammed by Glamberts, as we are not their reader demographic, but, hey. That's the way we roll. Adam tweeted this.. so I'm really on a roll.. somebody could catch up at the last minute.. I was never a numbers person before Adam.. what the heck ,who am I?LOL

Late yesterday (actually early today) Talon wrote:
It is sad that the die-hard fans do not support Queenbert, but, if I understand it correctly, they don't really support anyone or anything done under the "Queen" name. They are not interested in seeing Brian and Roger continue to perform the Queen repertoire without Freddie either. They prefer to retain the "Queen with Freddie" memory pure and pristine under glass. The fact that they are performing as "Queen" with a reality TV star half their age "replacing" Freddie just makes it a little more egregious. (In their defense, I don't think I would have accepted someone else stepping into John Lennon's shoes to continue the Beatle's performances, or someone from the X Factor replacing Mick Jagger in the Stones if he passed. I kinda get it.)
I also totally understand Brian and Roger wanting to continue performing the excellent music they created and which was such a huge part of their lives. And, not calling the group "Queen", when they ARE Queen as much as Freddie was, and they are still alive and enjoying life doesn't seem fair, either. Musicians rarely ever retire. My musician sister just did two gigs Saturday in the retirement community she was visiting in Florida. These "retired" musicians somehow find each other and form a "group" to perform wherever they are. For pay or just for the joy of performing.
If the die-hard Queen fans are uninterested in seeing Brian and Roger or in hearing their music performed by the originators (who still have the chops to do it up right!) then the fact that it is Adam singing with them is probably just an irritant, not the determining factor in their decision to stay home and watch Queen on their TVs and computers. The fact is there are many other folks who remember Queen songs from their youth with great fondness (either because they were young in the 70s and 80s or their parents played the music when they were at that impressionable age, like Adam), and they will buy tickets to hear it and see it in all its glory in 2014. So will many Adam fans. And fans of great live rock concerts in general. I am glad that Brian, Roger and Adam decided to give all of us one more opportunity to see something very special: the collaboration of musical geniuses at their finest. With great theatrics thrown in to boot. Can't wait.

Journey plays without Steve Perry. And when I think about their shows, I think, "But it's not Steve Perry!" So, I kind of "get" the Queen fans. But the difference between Queen music and Journey, for me, is that Journey was vocal driven. Whereas Queen has amazing musicians. So the chance to see Roger and especially Brian in person would outweigh my, "not Freddy" thoughts.

There is a very reliable GLEE source is being the "Rockstar" rumor. And the leak was specifically the A Big New World "Rockstar". And the lyrics make sense.

What were the demographics in the Hammersmith audience? It was heavy on Queen fans, right? I think we shouldn't assume the diehard Queen fans who spend time on the forums are representative of their general fandom. For every purist how many fans are there that just know and love their music?
