Adam only sang 1 song at the Family Equity Council Dinner and it did not involve his band. That means that Ashley's Instagram, from Jan 22 about practicing for an upcoming gig with Adam was NOT about performing at this dinner. So, what upcoming gig could it be for??? Something as yet unannounced!!! Idol mentors usually perform on the results show the week they mentor. So I wonder if Adam and/or Chis Daughtry will perform (separately, of course) on Idol on Feb 20??? instagram.com/p/jfsEvtG4vt/ I would say a 99% "NO" The Idol results show on the 20th will be jam packed with results. It is when they go from 31 to 13. They will be announcing the top 10, with a lot of suspense. Then the judges will each pick a wild card to complete the 13. There will be sing offs to get those extra 3. There has never been a performance by a star on this show. But what they were rehearsing for that day is certainly on my mind! I bet that Adam and Chris will be in the audience watching the show and thus get screen time on the 20th. Also would not be surprised if they made a few comments about performances like mentors often do.

I don't blame you Aleksandra. :D I loved the vid, but have to say - those waiters were disturbing there. (I was like: 'Can't just everyone wait until Adam finishes his song??!!' :D) Waiters? What waiters? There were waiters? I heard the guy move his chair and it sounded like a loud fart, but other than that, I was totally focused on the performance. Adam does that to me. Yeah, I know I commented on the pianist, but, that was part of the performance (unfortunately). Michael Orland, Adam needs you. "Waiters? What waiters? There were waiters?"
:LOL I totally agree with you about the pianist Cassie! And yes - I was thinking about Michael Orland and missing him too.

TALCvids @talcvids Adam Lambert, Leila Lambert 2014 Family Equality Council's Annual LA Awards Dinner: youtu.be/VWFglcHCo-c?a via @worldmonitortv Two beautiful human beings Dear DH walks into the den while I am playing this video...(Adam and his mom with all those light bulbs flashing) DH says ..." Did he win another award?" (nice thought though) No...so quickly explain why he is at this event/one song/mom with him/new hair cut. He says, as he continues to watch... "His mom looks likes she could be his girlfriend!'
(kudos to you Leila---running/fitness/and good genes paying off) and... "IT'S A GREAT HAIR CUT...LIKE IT ...WISH MY HAIR WAS THAT THICK!" (SO THERE WE GO!!!! FROM THE MOUTH OF MR CONSERVATIVE!) No fail from this man's view point!

Seriously, there was no subtlety in the pianist performance. I have a secret wish to hear Adam and Neil perform MW together. Eber once said that Neil is as good at the piano as Adam is at singing. What a great idea! I would love to see the two perform together. Gotta say, tho', that I think Eber is being a doting father here. If Neil was as good at the piano as Adam is at singing, he would be earning a very good living as a concert pianist. j/s I don't remember Eber saying that. I remember it was Eber's girlfriend who said that and I didn't believe it at the time and I was thinking that he would then have to be the best pianist in the world as Adam is IMO the best singer in the world. If he was that good he would be doing that for a living.

It was still a lovely stirring performance....agree....Michael Orland would have added an artistry quality to the performance....
YET....I would think Adam would have worked with his accompanist (even if the organization provided him)....cannot imagine he would not have coordinated their efforts. However, sometimes what you practice is not exactly how it works out in the end... (ie Olympic competitors know that only too well at times!)
edit: Was the piano really that bad??? I was totally listening to Adam, and so was the audience...which was great...not like they were all talking while he sang. Polite and attentive ...showing respect.

Hey guys! I am merely a lurker but do visit this site almost every day for Adam news and you guys are great at keeping up with all things Adam. I greatly appreciate all the hard work you guys do as I'm sure every lurker here does. That said, reading in here this morning just really depressed me. Instead of flailing over Adam's amazing performance, I read a bunch of negative stuff about Adam's haircut, his Melvin, his tattoo, his nose ring, his piano partner, the waiters, etc. etc. Really guys! That was an amazing performance of Mad World. The piano didn't bother me one bit and neither did the waiters. All I can complain about is that I wasn't there to hear him in person. And if the next complaint is going to be that the audience wasn't attentive enough, then all I can say is that the world doesn't revolve around Adam, as much as we might want it to. Back to lurking!
