IMO there'll be no album this spring although I think a single is a slight possibility. But no hints to that direction as yet.
Anyway, I'm expecting some Adam singing to come out, not only Glee songs - be it LMD or Ivy Levan duet or something.
A single before Queen would be a very smart strategy, IMO. Plus Adam said an album this year and I am thinking Fall. I don't understand your reasoning, Kamar. I don't understand you guys either . Queenbert clearly didn't do anything to help TRSP (it screwed it up , IMO) , so I can't see why it could possibly help era 3 . Maybe with the money , I guess ? Not getting me excited at all . I really couldn't care less . It's getting old . There's no way on earth there'll be an album out in spring . You guys know that Adam is a snail when it comes to working on albums and getting them perfect (they do come out perfect in the end , tho) So him having to work with Queen in the summer will only make the process even slower . Maybe working on Glee will make the process slower too , but it will make him win a younger fanbase . He needs a younger fanbase , those are the fans that'll make him "popular" . No offense to the older fanbase , of course . And "Lay Me Down" is never going to be a single . Avicii is working on a new one already . Guess Adam ain't "popular" enough for Avicii to even consider putting out "Lay Me Down" as a single . So no excitement there . Ivy who ? Melissa what ? Puh-leeze . . . I mean , is that "intense" ? cuz I'm not feeling it *shrug* Most of the world have no clue who Ivy is (I only know about her because Adam pimps her) , and for Melissa , I have never EVER heard of her . Will those duets help Adam in any way ? Get him some mainstream success ? A song on the radio ? simply NO . Sorry , not interested . I know most of you guys will hate me for this post , but I just had to post this . And don't worry , I'm out . Will probably never come back , I don't feel good in this place anymore . |

I have no idea when we will get new music, I would be totally surprised with a spring single, maybe summer, but I kind of think it might be closer to fall. And, personally, I couldn't care less about Adam touring with Queen. I just have no real interest at all. But, I realize that I'm in the minority on that one. Which is perfectly fine  I am excited about Glee. And that's about it for the moment. Label news would be nice, but I think we might be waiting for awhile for that. |

You may be surprised at how many people are in agreement with you. But, it's not our career, it's his. I honestly don't think Adam would do something that he's not interested in doing. He enjoys working with Brian and Roger. And, honestly, can you even imagine standing up in front of close to 300,000 people (Kiev) and having that HUGE wall of sound behind you?! I'm sure the experience is paying very well and I think we need to consider that Adam has many people depending on him for their living. I don't think he's losing any artistic expression and I think his new album and a possible tour with Queen are two different things with two different trajectories. The Queen tour is a sort of a "bird in the hand" sort of thing -- the album not so much. Although Adam receives critical acclaim for his work, it has not translated to radio play. Exposure to whomever will listen and become curious about his other work seems key. Don't know what will work best for him but he sure is trying as many avenues and opportunities that are presented to him. Melissa is a rock and roll belter and imo their styles would match up very well. I think we have to acknowledge that Adam is a performing vocalist and some of the things he choses to do may have nothing t do with forward motion but just for the thrill of having the opportunity to sing with someone he admires.
I love your posts and your opinions - we all would suffer not knowing how you feel and think.

The name Melvin existed for quite a while in the fandom, before Adam or Shoshanna caught onto it, and Adam knew about it quite a bit before Shoshanna did. My guess would be around one year difference.
I also thought that this came about on twitter. Certainly not here. Not sure about the origin.
Kamar, my goodness, what's wrong? a) everything Adam does is wrong for his career?
b) this site sucks? c) the folks here all post the wrong stuff.....?
d) Having a bad day?
If you think your world is better without the crowd here, all the power to you, but slapping everyone around, and then taking off is not exactly the fine way to make an exit either. So, whatever it is that made you say all that, it probably would be better to explain it, than carry it along with you wherever you are planning to go from here.
I don't see any album happening in spring either, and I am even iffy about a single. I have more hope for the fall. But I am not even sure that producing an album is right now Adam's highest priority, he may have found a little door opening in the acting world, because of Glee and he might be jumping at the opportunity.
But it is pretty clear to me that he has stuff going on that hinders him to prolong his engagement on Glee, and a little duet would not do that to him. So, I think you can be assured that something is up and his calendar is full for a reason.
So, what's wrong, darling?

As far as I remember (and I wasn't around as a fan then) "Melvin" is a product of Glamnation fun ... there got a trend started of naming body parts, I remember Terrance's awsome booty got his own name ... and it was not all done by fans alone, the guys themselves had fun with it as well ... if I remember correctly wait, let me Google for it .... nope no relevant results googling Dustymadrid (whom I definitely remember) .... ah well you can do that yourselves ... go down down down the rabbit hole  |
