2.19.14 Idol Rush Week, The Girls Recap+Tonight, The Boys

Perhaps no one will agree with me but I was really disturbed by Keith's comments tonight, especially to Emily. She gave a stellar performance, she has some of the best vocals of the group, her stage presence is excellent, for him to say she hid behind the song is crazy, she was right to practice in a mirror; that doesn't mean she isn't being true to the artist that she is. It's a bit short sighted of the judges to pigeon hole her and expect her to perform again like she did in Hollywood week at the piano; she appears to love pop/rock. Harry treated her terribly, she explained in her interview to Randy that the song was empowering to women and that's why she chose it. I think Keith doesn't like Adam at all, I noticed that last year. I think Harry has a particular style of voice that he likes, and it doesn't seem to be runs or multi-range notes. I'm just discouraged, I was really excited for Harry on Idol. I agree with the comments that it's good to have constructive criticism; I'm just not sure that Harry's is really that constructive or objective, more subjective in my opinion. Sad sigh. Adam was great though and I loved Jena's comment about his beauty.
