Is it possible that they're saving some boot-camp footage for results night? (including Adam's birthday)!

Unbelievable. I am always in awe of the paradox of human beings. So much gracefulness and beauty was in that square. What good can ever come from violence to each other, to nature or even to the structures that make us civilized?

My two cents on Idol. I watched much of the season after Adam but not since then unless Adam was on the show. I was really disappointed to be honest. Boot Camp was probably fun for the contestants and flattering - maybe even helpful, maybe. But it did not make for good TV IMHO. The clips were so short you didn't really get a feel for much of what they went through at all, song, look or performance tips. Too many mentors, too much at once. I think the idea fell flat as far as Good TV. ;-| I was totally open to this panel of judges and really expected to like Harry. I did not. Didn't like what he said or how he looked. Thought he came off as a bit of an ass last night and I found him off-putting. No expectations of Keith - he met them. Not much of a presence. Thought I'd be put off by Jennifer, but for me, for you, for me, she was the best of the three. It bugged me when they would talk during the performances, mostly JLo and Harry. I don't remember the judges doing that so much before. I ended up fast forwarding through most of the songs. From what you guys are saying, and the judges too, I guess the contestants were kind of overwhelmed and didn't do their best. I hope so, because they really didn't seem that fabulous to me. (Of course Harry gave us the old "best group of talent since the first year" comment. Sheesh! ) >:D Worst of all - NOT ENOUGH ADAM. He looked great and was seen by millions of folks. So that's good anyway. Was hoping they'd get a double dose of him by featuring him in the Glee commercial but, sadly, no. Any TV appearance is good, obviously, but I'm glad we have more that just this Idol Bootcrap to look forward too. 8-)

OT Good article (with more photos and a map) in NYT for those wanting to get caught up on the Kiev/Ukraine situation: Excerpt: "The violence, which will resonate for weeks, months or even years around this fragile and bitterly divided former Soviet republic of 46 million, exposed the impotence, in this dispute, of the United States and the European Union, which had engaged in a week of fruitless efforts to mediate a peaceful settlement. It also shredded doubts about the influential reach of Russia, which had portrayed the protesters as American-backed 'terrorists' and, in thinly coded messages from the Kremlin, urged Mr. Yanukovych to crack down." Is it possible that they're saving some boot-camp footage for results night? (including Adam's birthday)! Yes, I think that we could see a bit then but I would not expect to see too much because they are clearly trying to focus on the contestants and announcing/promoting the Finalists. Thursday's results show is the last Idol before The Voice starts which I think is going to crush Idol in the ratings this year. I can't believe this crop of women are the best singers/performers who auditioned for Idol. But they just are not as good as even last's years Idol contestants. Forget about some of my favs. Serious, Alison could have blow away that version of "Paint It Black" even if she had a cold. >> Where did the show I loved go, and can someone bring it back? People often post that Adam broke Idol. Well he didn't. The network suits and 19 and everyone involved in this muddle of a show pretending to be Idol broke it. >> I hope tonight is better and that they can get it back on track in the finals. But there can only be one big singing competition in the US, and looks like the baton has been passed to The Voice. Now all that has to happen is The Voice needs to make the right Adam a judge. Then I would be totally happy.
