Remember AI8 and the morning after the show -- scurrying to YT to watch and re-watch Adam's performances; checking ITunes for the official song release and downloading it; anxiously waiting to watch the results show; I don't have any of those feelings this a.m. BUT I enjoyed watching last night for the first time since the AI8 finale (except for the Adam appearances). I almost voted

Is this when Chris said he didn't want to stand next to Adam because it exposed his height?!

Won't be able to see this episode here for another three weeks but was wondering if this YouTube is all that was broadcast with Adam in it. Was there any intro to Adam and Chris being there or recaps of what they had been doing lately? Thought he looked amazing and will win lots of new fans and remind a few older ones... Sophie, this has his intro right here. Much better quality than the recorded stream. But there was no intro package about what he and Chris are doing, record sales, etc at all :( www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyNYzR3QhFU

Wal....thanks for the reply and the stream recording. I'd seen the pics and gifs of the 'intro' to Chris and Adam but didn't know if it had been shown on TV.
Was just reading that over 10 million people had seen the play The Mousetrap over 60 years of its run in London. Puts a televised appearance on Idol into perspective; however brief Adam's exposure, he is seen by more people in those minutes than in 60 years on a stage every night. Those minutes are gold and though more would always be better, this is just great for him.

As always, I enjoy reading the varied opinions about the show last night. One I think we can agree on is that Adam did great and we would like to have seen more of him. For those who didn't see it, I'd recommend the video that was posted on this thread. He wasn't really on much, but it was all good. I agree - watch the YouTube. ** Just my opinion, I think they missed a big opportunity with Adam and Chris on the show. They should have used them to underscore how Idol finds stars and at least done more of an introduction. Instead they left in that throw-away joke Chris made about height. They really did not give any idea how the Boot Camp worked, how extensive it was, etc. Why not film the semifinalists having fun with fashion, or in different looks, or something entertaining in a package. Where was anyone learning how to move? And I think TPTB made a huge mistake throwing so much at the contestants at once they made them all nervous resulting in some mediocre performances and not too entertaining TV. > Letting singer know they are going to perform then rushing them on stage. > They picked a bunch of inexperienced young singers this year with little experience and they tried to get them to think about style and movement and performance and.... when clearly they needed help on the basics of song choice, vocal coaching and stage presence. > The new set is amazing -- but to throw that in on the same night was a bit much. Perhaps they should have waited for the finals. > The judges comments were often useless (JLo, most of Keith's) or incomprehensible (HCJ and his song meaning and singing in the pocket. He is worse than Randy about repeating the same stuff.) And since they could see this backstage, they knew that they could get a tough question. I also hated that 10 Semifinalists are getting eliminated without getting to sing. Too bad that they did not just pick 21 Semi-Finalists in the first place. Never, never thought I would say it, but I miss Nigel. ** Adam needs his own show. I doubt he is big enough yet for a Network show, and the age of variety shows ended in 1972, but maybe he could do a variety-talk show on Logo. It would be a hit! He just would need a sidekick. Perhaps, Adam and Chris Colfer could do a show. (With the two of them, it could be a Network show!) Looks like FOX is going to need some new programming to fill the Idol slot soon. So maybe they have an extra hour! ETA: I hate that "chamber" too. And spiritual advisers!?!? Seriously, what was that about? It they want to give them access to counseling, cool. But non-denominational spiritual advisers?!? They picked a bunch of inexperienced contestants and they want to help them deal with the pressure -- seems like a good idea -- but why bring secularized spirituality into it. And, more importantly, why not keep it private and not show these counselers on TV? JMHO. YMMV.
