I certainly wanted more out of Idol, but was not expecting it. Gosh, I loved that show and really miss watching it, but this group of contestants, the format, the judges.....I can't take it. the Randy Jackson workshop was a farce imo. Stylists?! Really?!? Most of the men looked like __________(fill in your own derogatory remark). Can't CMT host their own reality singing competition?, oh yeah I think they do, why I must I endure country western music on American Idol (rhetorical question). Adam seemed like a fish out of water, especially tonight. It is amazing he was ever permitted on the show. I agree, tptb will be pushing for sam woolf (great stage name btw). He is the cutest and does have some talent with room to grow. Seems like a sweet kid. Good morning. I didn't see Adam being "a fish out if water' on the show. I thought Adam was in his element of giving constructive comments to the contestants but you can only do so much with what you have to work with in this situation. What the contestant do with the information is totally up to them. And we weren't able to see the whole interaction with the contestants he mentored. I think Adam and Chris did a good job but it's a shame there wasn't more shown of their mentoring. |

On idol there were too many people and too many ideas getting thrown at the artists at once then the judges contradicting everything they had been told. What's with the 'I like you sitting at the piano singing this song'? The same contestant doing the same sort of song sitting at a piano for 12 weeks is not going to make riveting viewing. The girls all seemed to be excited to have Adam there and appreciated his advice. I don't think many of the guys did. He's the nemesis of the sort of artist they want to be. |

I haven't seen one yet. Be on the lookout for one from Terra later today or tomorrow. She's a day behind watching Idol. She just did a stripped down version of the first nite of Adam parts. I'm gonna delete my other DLs and just keep this one.
