I as thinking restless referred to S8 Adam and not the mentoring, like Adam was so different from the guys he mentored, the guys being normal Idol material (inexperienced, boring?) whereas Adam was not.

 I have looked at the latest Glee clip over and over and...... While the main reason is to see Elliott, I had another motive that I am embarrassed to admit: For the life of me, I cannot figure out what Kurt and Elliott are saying! I think Kurt is talking about his fiancé acting like a child  But when Elliott is onscreen, who btw is obviously trying to beat Kurt in speed-talking  .....his words just fly by and I can't make sense of any of it! So somebody, puhleeeeze...take pity on someone who is paying the price for attending that Iron Butterfly concert back in the day.....  And tell me what they are saying!?!?

ETA ... and I agree with you, on Glee they really are talking fast and it's difficult to understand. Their articulation (and way of speaking) is not the clearest one and on the other hand the lines are full of references and witty snarks using concepts and names I have no idea of.
Is Adam telling here that he leaves the band (facial expressions) and that there'll be inevitable changes how the band works, the material chosen etc.? The words (whatever they exactly are) sound to me like discussing the direction of the band and that it's important to take account all member's strengths to form a good package. But Kurt seems a bit discouraged and sad.
