"There is no reason to delay further when no opposition has been presented to this Court and committed gay and lesbian couples have already suffered from the denial of their fundamental right to marry,” U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman stated. Her ruling noted that Cook County Clerk David Orr filed a brief in support of the lawsuit, which argued that couples should not have to wait until the Illinois law went into effect on June 1. Orr released a statement after the ruling saying he will begin issuing same-sex marriage licenses "immediately." (Read more at link.) |

Also: Has anyone felt a little guilty for ever sporting negative thoughts towards scruffy Melvin after reading all those gushing remarks about Adam's hotness from Idol watchers? Because I have. (*hides in a corner. Bad, bad fan) As one who has always liked Melvin, I will admit that I felt vindicated reading those gushing tweets. I hate the part of my personality that tends towards smugness, so I will join you in the corner.

That snow day video is great - Hoppers will get a kick out of it too, when she sees it. And with this crazy winter, many folks can relate. This video will rack up 1 million views in a week. Its at 850K right now. It's funny. Creative, fun family and ability to sing. Nice. Thank you to all the wonderful helpers to lift stuff from twitter and bring it here. Most of us can only read once a day or even less often and not on a continuous basis, so stuff that runs by at the bottom of the screen or on twitter itself would get lost. I am thankful that the important stuff makes it here, and find that I can catch up on atop in much shorter time, then by scrolling around and trying to figure out who replied to what comment and what may be worth my time and what not. Also, as said above, everything is in one place, pics, discussion, tweets, news links, videos, music....all in one place. Thank you to all the helpers here that make this place what it is. Finally, didn't somebody say yesterday that we should get Glee music today? ....  Ok, Adam, don't you know we're waiting? lol |

I so appreciate the longer, well written and thoughtful posts that are often on Atop with lots of exchanges of differing points of views. I also love the post that educate about the music business, currant music, singing techniques and so forth, the kind of post the Twitter was not designed for. I like Twitter too, I am quite happy to have them both available to feed my Adam obsession, but if I had to live without one, it would be Twitter.

 It's HEEEEEERE!!!!!!! Drove in the fog to eye MD appointment....trying to avoid the huge potholes caused by all the snowfalls....then stepped outside after appointment to find I was blinded by the glare of snow all around me...eyes were dilated......reached for sunglasses and headed to car parked down the street....and found I had left the lights on....dead, dead, dead.....  All I could think about, while waiting for AAA to arrive, was...."I wonder if my wolf came today?" And it did! Nice mail carrier used the plastic bag I had left in the mailbox....and DH brought it in and left it next to my seat.... Aaaaand...NGL.......I just peeled the cap off and took a long deep breath......  All in all...this has been a SPECTACULAR day!  #179 of 300

Finally, didn't somebody say yesterday that we should get Glee music today? .... Well, I think that was rather wishful thinking of the gleeks, because there used to be a "first friday listen" when the show aired on tuesdays so there was hoping it might be the case again now- but apparently we will either get the songs on late sunday or when the episode airs...And since we've waited for months, I'm really amped to finally get those songs |
