Re pricing of Elvis book versus prints.
A book is a mass produced item. The biggest cost of producing it is in the upfront production and set up and then that is "spread" across the number of units produced (usually reasonable number) so the individual unit costs are lower. Factor in the mechanical printing and binding of a book and you get a lower price - in this case $100.
There is much less distribution of costs possible for something like a limited edition individual print - so even if it is produced in somewhat of a "production line" fashion - that is all at once rather than on demand, it still has to be individually handled. So as a result the cost of the limited edition individual prints is higher - in this case $200 each.
Then you also factor in the "desirability" of the product. For (some) Adam fans a print of the Adam photo alone has a higher value to them than a book of a collection of photos including Adam. I suspect if money were not an object every Adam fan would prefer the print to the book...

In the US IBIATCL is in Soundtrack category in iTunes, the same in Canada (13th atm, US 18th).
Brave is now the highest placed Frenemies song overall at 331 and IBIATCL 338. DROMP is at 513. I'm using LivePopBars here www.livepopbars.com/lpb1024.php?Region=143441&Chart=34&Albums=0
The chart 'lives' quite a lot and the placements change - let's see how it looks like after the show has aired. But the soundtrack chart is only albums, right? So iTunes does not have it as a single at all?? I am still confused!

In itunes the only chart that shows is albums but with livepopbars when I request soundtracks/singles I get the chart for the singles with IBIATCL listed. At 7 pm it was at #352 on the overall chart and #18 on soundtracks. The only Glee song above it on the overall chart is Brave at #322.

A little OT, but Glee related: just read Rolling Stone's review of Lea Michele's album......gave it 1.5 out of 5......that's gotta hurt......but what struck me was the critic's comment that her "show-tune-style belting is a little too perfect for today's pop charts". Hhmmmmmmm........so if you have a strong clear voice, and people can understand what you are singing....you're too perfect? And therefore not good enough for radio/pop charts? YUP! I think you've nailed it. Even on the singing competitions, judges and others seem to want a voice that is sort of quirky or unusual.

I've shaved half of my name off in support of the antimelvin campaign:) I'll join you, I'm sure that soon Adam will realise the error of his ways and stop presenting himself how he wants. Victory!!

Well...way to go ENews. You left out the part of the interview with Chirs and Lea where Chris talked about Adam. On line it was there. (Smilies are still not working for me here....so imagine the rolling of the eyes smiley!)

I don't understand why the whole book of Shades of Elvis is a little over a 100 dollars whereas one print of Adam is 200 dollars. A print is going to be produced on different paper than a book and possibly with different ink. It also will not have another photo on the back side of it. Will probably be a different size. My dad's a photographer bit.ly/1hmTQCw - yes of wolves if you are so interested - As a somewhat similar example to the Elvis book/print situation the Bradford Exchange has used his photos to create a set of collector plates. He was paid for the photos and gets a commission on the plate sales but does not have to do any of the advertising, production, shipping, warehousing etc. He also sells the prints on his website and there he has a lot more to charge enough to cover all of his costs (travel, ink, paper, website, advertising, shipping materials) and hopefully make some profit to pay for taking all the other photos that don't sell. Unfortunately because none of the wolves are named Adam and because my dad's not famous he can't charge a premium price just for the prints, but he sure would if he could.
