Glee Films an Emotional Candlelight Vigil For . . . Lea Michele, Chris Colfer, and Darren Criss joined their Glee castmates to film an emotional candlelight vigil scene in LA on Tuesday. Lea, Chris, and Chord Overstreet sang on a sidewalk while holding small candles. Earlier in the day, Chris and Darren filmed a daytime scene on the same sidewalk, with an injured-looking Chris placing a white flower on a makeshift memorial that featured rainbow flags and "Get Well" balloons. The scene was most likely not for the late Cory Monteith's character, Finn, as the LGBT-friendly flags hint that it was possibly for a gay character, like Adam Lambert's Elliot.------------------------------- The vigil could also be for Dani as she is definitely LGBT on Glee. They need to explain her departure from the show also. And I don't see Santana in the vigil scene. They have not confirmed Elliot's orientation one way or the other on Glee. I like the going away to be a rock star scenario better for Elliot. ETA - In the video at the 1st link above, at 2:53 they show a picture of the guy the vigil is about. Definitely not Elliot. Looks more like Cory to me, but not sure as the face seem rounder than the pics I've seen of Cory. Just some random guy apparently. Here's a pic........ A random guy that Kurt tries to help. They would NOT kill of a character, even a temp, after the Cory tragedy this year.
Definitely not her first fulltime acting gig. She did a movie and perhaps even 2. The problem I had with SMASH was that I foundthe characters completely unlikable (except for Megan Hilty.) But the musical numbers were fabulous!!

Adam is on Glee for exposure, not for US fast-national overnight ratings.

JMHO Adam proved so much with GLEE and enough that we will see more of him on TV in the future.

Changing subjects a bit -- I think Adam is trying to walk a thin line so he can achieve mainstream success. I found the RPDR judging performance to be very restrained. He was dressed in a suit, low-key natural style makeup, light accessories, not as loose as he usually is with comments.
It could be that it is just how they edited the show because RuPaul is always the "star" no matter who is on.

Glee Ep 5x15 has an alley mugging scene. It must be that Kurt is involved with that based on the spoiler. And this must be a vigil for the victim of a crime. Since it appears to be a gay victim (rainbow flags at vigil) perhaps this episode involves the subject of hate crimes. No sign that Elliott/Adam has any part of this episode. ** Katharine McPhee has been in 5 movies - 2 as co-star, 1 supporting role, 2 cameos; 4 TV show guest appearances, 32 episodes of Smash, and an voice appearance in Family Guy. |

I thought it had been made pretty clear at least twice that Elliot is Gay....once in the first episode when Lea accused Kurt of being afraid of losing his lavender crown...or some such silly phrase; and then this last episode when Elliott talks of being relieved to find Kurt as the first gay man he met in New York that did not simply want to hook up. I doubt they would attempt to make him a straight man in a show like Glee....  |

A few days ago, when we got the promo 'Frenemies' video, some Atopers commented about Adam's walk in it: absolutely! NOT his natural walk at all! Even the way he hold his arms is not the way he does it naturally....funny  I noticed "the walk" too! I've done many, many of paintings/drawings of human figure in studio so always acutely aware of how someone holds their arms, posture, carriage. We've talked about his impeccable posture, but there is also something very distinct abt how he "holds" his arms in relation to his body. It's like more of the back of his hands show than how most ppl appear with thumbs showing most prominently. I noticed it in that very first AI audition when he walks in the room and then I was reminded of it when seeing a GIF on twitter (or here??) that someone made of his walk on AI audition side-by-side with his walk on AI this past week. I think it's exaggerated here because he's a little self-conscious abt his body movements when acting. He's really good and much more natural than most non-actors in things like this. But it is noticeable when he does things like pointing to the guitarist when he asks if he knows The Darkness song. I'm actually blown away that he's not more self-conscious, but I'd guess it's something he works on with director (and nervous giggle reaction, lol). I am so looking forward to this ep! In his first appearance on Glee, I was a little concerned I would be cringing a little as I usually do when musicians have walk-on or cameo appearances, but I was pleasantly surprised. He can really hold his own with an actor as talented as Chris Colfer! Plus I love their natural rapport! I knew I'd seen Adam walk the same way somewhere before. I couldn't remember where. I think the real celebration occurs whenever the when the stay comes off...whenever that may be as I don't think there's a date to remove it. As a crappy analogy -> Texas said they were gonna play wedding songs, but they didn't actually purchase any instruments or a sound system. The air guitar the legislation is holding up doesn't actually make any noise.  ETA: Plus I think the judgment is so narrowly focused that it only applies to the two couples in the lawsuit - not to everyone in the state of Texas. So IMO its an iiiiiiiiiiity-bitty baby step. Not cause for general fireworks. But, y'know, if peeps wanna celebrate that some forward progress HAS indeed been made, feel free to bounce about! |
