I am seeing 76,356 views for IBIATCL and the next highest is 37,937 for Every Breath You Take from Frenemies. All other songs are even less. So, I am not sure why the "panic". Agree with the bolded....In general I don't like Adam in duets as that other person's singing only gets in my way of enjoying Adam's voice.... so, I never understood the "I want Adam to duet with xxx" meme.... This is where I am seeing the views: www.youtube.com/user/GleeOnFox/videosI see: Don't Rain on My Parade 130,440 views Brave 128,390 views Every Breath You Take 117,881 views Breakaway 89,476 views Let me know if I am looking at the wrong place. I thought I was on the official Glee YouTube channel. may be it's me who is looking in the wrong place? I see the much lower numbers on the right side of the screen under the IBIATCL video... just refreshed and nothing changed....???

I thought I was on the official Glee YouTube channel. I click on the blue Glee icon on the left just below the video itself which is supposed to be the official site. It doesn't list all the videos from last night but it does show IBIATCL ahead of the other two and behind Brave. Why they are not all listed, I don't know.

Unpopular opinion, I have rewatched the acting scenes a "few" times, I have not watched the performance as many times. Song just did not connect with me like MTN did. I think it is because people 1) Do not know who the Darkness are, 2) Glam Rock is a niche genre, 3) It was not a great choice for a duet, and 4) There were some great performances on Glee this week. I thought Brave and Santana's Don't Rain on My Parade were also great. And IBWY is selling pretty well. I love The Darkness but I know they are not mainstream -- and IBIATCL peaked at #119 in the US for The Darkness in 2003. And from the people I saw at The Darkness concerts, "none" of their fans are watching Glee. ** Finally, and sorry Chris fans -- I think it would have been sooooo much better with just Adam. I am almost certain that an all Adam version where be on 100 times replay for me.I am seeing 76,356 views for IBIATCL and the next highest is 37,937 for Every Breath You Take from Frenemies. ETA: if I were GLEE I would be concerned with the low interest in general. ALL of those views look low to me...Am I wrong? I do not think there is any reason to "panic" but the view count on 4 other songs from the episode on the Glee YT channel are around 120K. The numbers are so small it really doesn't matter that much. 80K, 120K, mox nix. (means nothing). en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mox_nix

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Out of the 7 videos from the show, only 2 have lower views. :( Unpopular opinion, I have rewatched the acting scenes a "few" times, I have not watched the performance as many times. He thought it was fresh, buoyant and energetic. He is raving about it. It will be interesting to see how this evolves. I think it was a very strong episode and that has more to do with it than that there was something lacking in that duet.

kittykay said: "Straight guys often play gay, but gay guys playing straight is unique".
Well, actually a lot of gay guys, some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, have played straight romantic leads. But they are or were closeted. They are actors, after all, no matter their sexual orientation. But it has always been easier to "play straight" on screen when you also "play straight" off screen.
I think some of the public, and sometimes the critics, still find it hard to accept the idea of an openly gay actor playing a straight romantic role. I'm thinking of Jonathan Groff, who played vocal coach Jesse St. James on "Glee" and had a romantic relationship with the Rachel character played by Lea Michele. In this case, I don't think "the public" cared, or even knew about Jonathan's orientation. But some critics lashed him as a gay man "trying" to play straight.
Jonathan does do a good job as the straight romantic "vocal" lead" opposite Idina Menzel in the animation mega-hit "Frozen". i haven't heard of any critical push-back in this case, I suppose because he's just voicing a cartoon.
I do think, though, that Adam could convincingly play a straight non-cartoon leading man as he seems to have more chemistry with women than some of the closeted male stars with their big PR romances (and marriages) but who have very little heat with women on screen.

So weird...one would think they are using the same data base for all the counts... obviously not...

Compared to A Katie or a Gaga, all the video views seem strangely low. I remember that the videos from A Katie or a Gaga moved up very quickly in comparison. Roar is closing in on 9m and MTN is closing in on 6m. With this start, I can't imagine these videos pulling numbers like that. I thought this was a very enjoyable episode, and this lack of views is strange I think.

mmmm so when Rachel shows up at his door, facial hair, full grown man. mmmm I like this scenario where ok you can live here but when Rachel assumes he is gay about that time a Victoria Secret model comes out of the bathroom in a towel. fun games and mistaken identity ensues. Rachel will then be Well Ok then! or run back to Kurt's place and drink a lot.
