Isn't it rumored Brian's daughter is the web mistress? I do not think this is the case. Brian's daughters are Louisa and Emily Ruth. The BrianMay.com webmistress was named Jen. I think she still does it but that could have changed. ETA: I strongly doubt they will put the tickets on sale when they announce. Queen has always been very good about having scheduled fan presales. I plan to enjoy Glee before I think much more about QAL.
I second that devotion..

Given how quickly his hair grows the difference between shaved, short and Jared Leto is probably about 5 minutes! I'll check with interest in the (my) morning whether others share our indifference :-)

Melvin and shaved sides have been around now for like forever, so I've totally given up. I just scroll.

For the record: 1. Jen is not Brian's daughter. She actually ran a Brian Mayniac site before Brian kind of came in and took it over as his official website. nd yes, the website does say that Brian doesn't see everything that is posted, but I think the fact that his official website is reporting the tour "rumors" would seem to confirm them. Otherwise, I think Brian's webmistress would have ignored the rumors and/or Brian would have posted a denial in his soapbox (or on Twitter). Will be interesting to see what happens on Thursday. Q3 note: fixed the post. Dropping this in here so no one is confused. 2. Brian's webmistress posts EVERYTHING in the press. She's posted HUGE rumors that are absolute BS. I am 99% sure that Brian looks at almost nothing posted except for his soapbox site. And it's not like Jen emails him asking if these rumors are true/false. She's not that privileged. Brian will come in on his own speed to confirm or deny. BUT at the same time they don't usually go out of their way to deny rumors unless specifically asked in an interview. There was rumors for about a month and a half pre-Adam that Queen was looking to tour with Lady Ga Ga fronting them. Until someone asked Brian specifically in an interview - it wasn't quashed. I think he thinks themselves above getting into tabloid journalism, rumors. But if asked specifically he will answer. And yes - Brianmay.com posted the rumors

For a tour, you need to transport not only your band and crew, you also need to ship the equipment. Depending how tight the dates are sitting together, your equipment may fly by air too. For those that are interested in logistics kind of crap, here is a marketing video that LiveNation put together with UPS on how they are partnering together for this. Click on the video at the top left of the page: www.ups.com/content/us/en/bussol/browse/article/music-industry-sustainability.htmlAnd if logistics is not your thing, then just ignore all this and shake your head at those that do worry about stuff like this. vs If I remember correctly, they shipped the equipment in 6 semi-trucks for the QAL Kiev, etc., concerts. What size plane would that take? Would it be cheaper to ship by boat or rent a good portion of the equipment in the U.S.? ETA - I found the answer to my first question at: science.howstuffworks.com/transport/flight/modern/air-freight2.htm"Shipping companies like FedEx and UPS own many different types of cargo planes. One of the larger ones is the Boeing 747. When configured as a freighter, the Boeing 747-400 can hold about 26,000 cubic feet (736 m3) of cargo. That's about as much as five semi trucks can haul." So, they would need a slightly bigger plane than a Boeing 747-400 freighter to haul all of the QAL concert equipment. Plus a passenger plane for the 6 on stage people, plus how many support people? Sounds really expensive! For the US shows it is more likely that the production/stage equipment will go by truck. The band/mgmt/assistants etc might travel by plane between stops depending on distances. While the actual stage equipment would probably just be rented in the US there will be probably a truckload or so of instruments/rigging that would be their own personal equipment shipped over. If they used planes between stops they would still have to have trucks at each location to get equipment to and from the planes so it is unlikely that the full production would go by plane. Granted they are not likely to have the kind of equipment needs that U2 had on the last tour which used 3 full models of the stage leapfrogging the country requiring almost 100 trucks for each load out plus another 10 or so trucks of non-duplicated production. ETA: If anyone wants a look at the nightmares of tour logistics look for stories about the U2 Popmart tour playing Sarajevo in the late 90's. It was the first BIG concert to bring a full show there after the war and the story of getting all the trucks there is incredible. There is a book called "U2 Show" which covers a lot of details of U2 tours up through the Elevation tour in 2001-2002. They have been in the forefront on new touring tech since the very beginnings of the band.
