Fully agree with Rihannsu and Q3 that I assume they will use trucks for their equipment. I had made the assumption that they all agreed to clear a certain month in their calendar and then approached tour organizers/promoters with the request to make them an offer for that time interval. If you use 3-5 days of that month for prep, then you can tour for about 27 days. Putting 16 dates into that time frame, allows for trucking on all stretches, including those where you need to plan an extra travel day for the equipment to arrive. That assumes, they were able to get the arenas in the sequence that is ideal for traveling. Not always is that the case, of course.
My point was, if you have one or two stretches where you have to airlift the equipment, there are firms that have special logistics programs to assist with such a job and the tour organizer would just have to include that into the overall plan. But it would make sense that the band and their assistants have a plane, latest once they are away from the heavily populated Northeast, where bus rides + hotel stays are more feasible. But touring is not an easy life, it is stressful, especially, when you are not in your twenties or thirties. So it is an immense decision by Brian and Roger to put themselves back into that grind and go on a 16 stop tour, assuming that rumor is really true.
Here, I listed my own tour dates, to minimize travel distances. I also started in the Midwest, because they probably did not want to start out right away in NYC, with all the press there. Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, NY, PHL, Washington, Miami, Atlanta, Memphis, Houston, Denver, Las Vegas, LA, SFO, Vancouver. Put Boston back in there, because its really 16 rather than only my 15, and you can certainly make that work, if you want to.
So looking forward to how this all will pan out.

The first time I played 'Barracuda' it was great but when I tried to repeat it's all distorted, crackly, and slow. Could it be because we are all trying to listen at once and soundcloud can't cope?

I sorta loved the character that Adam was trying to invent with his Frankengump....the new short sides are a modified version.

I think I will have Ticketbastard and Adams fan site open as the announcement is being made. Can't be too careful or too prepared. OMG I'm already breaking out in hives!! haha! edited to add: I'm worried about timing and being available for certain shows but I'm not going to sweat scoring great seats...in fact, I think it might be advantageous to sit back further in the venue to appreciate the production that is QUEEN! What say you who saw them in London? (of course I don't want to have a blocked view) I had great second row and 5th row balcony seats in London and it was marvelous. Could see the whole stage and Production. That was a smallish theatre set-up. Doubt we'll get any of those this time. We sat in the up high on the side nosebleeds at Iheart. The audio was great, had wonderful view of the whole stage, but Adam was small and far away. But the "vibe" there was fantastic as well.
Of course, I prefer front row center stage for everything....lol..but that ain't gonna happen for me this go around. I was thinking it would be ideal do one kinda close on the floor (if there are seats) and maybe pay StubHub.....and do one from the side bleachers with a fairly close view. That may require StubHub as well. One things for certain, the sound, the overall visuals and the "vibe" will fill the arena and you'll be mesmerized. Hoping for a catwalk again too. Adam does catwalks so well.
