I'm probably going to get banned from this forum for this but I was disappointed in the Glee songs. I LOVED Adam's voice on Barracuda but I didn't think he and Lea sounded that good together; I don't think she sounds good on rock at all. I really disliked the Happening, everything about it. I was really looking forward to Gloria but just didn't feel this version, too rushed. I wanted to hear Adam wail and have more power in his voice. That said I'm still looking forward to Glee on Tuesday.

I was fortunate to have balcony seats one night in London. on the floor (about 3 rows back). The balcony was fine but NOTHING can compare with being on the floor with the energy and excitement being palpable on the floor. Adam was about 5 feet away - close enough to see sweat and facial expressions. Best night ever! I can't even imagine....I was very close for one GNT - second row just right of center. That night is just burned in my brain.
I have only been front row for a Bruce Springsteen concert. LOVED IT. His tour bus came into by workplace for some repairs (a long time ago) and the tour manager asked us if we wanted some free tickets -- seriously. We got the tickets, backstage passes, and got to enter the venue where the band comes in. We were all hyperventilating the entire evening. This was back in '83 or so.

For the record: 1. Jen is not Brian's daughter. She actually ran a Brian Mayniac site before Brian kind of came in and took it over as his official website. nd yes, the website does say that Brian doesn't see everything that is posted, but I think the fact that his official website is reporting the tour "rumors" would seem to confirm them. Otherwise, I think Brian's webmistress would have ignored the rumors and/or Brian would have posted a denial in his soapbox (or on Twitter). Will be interesting to see what happens on Thursday. Q3 note: fixed the post. Dropping this in here so no one is confused. 2. Brian's webmistress posts EVERYTHING in the press. She's posted HUGE rumors that are absolute BS. I am 99% sure that Brian looks at almost nothing posted except for his soapbox site. And it's not like Jen emails him asking if these rumors are true/false. She's not that privileged. Brian will come in on his own speed to confirm or deny. BUT at the same time they don't usually go out of their way to deny rumors unless specifically asked in an interview. There was rumors for about a month and a half pre-Adam that Queen was looking to tour with Lady Ga Ga fronting them. Until someone asked Brian specifically in an interview - it wasn't quashed. I think he thinks themselves above getting into tabloid journalism, rumors. But if asked specifically he will answer. And yes - Brianmay.com posted the rumors To be fair to iridium, I wrote an unclear post that I fixed that was wrong -- that included it was no Brian's "official website" -- rather than Brian does not know what is posted on that site and does not read it. I ineptly was trying to say "This is not posted by Brian and should not be taken as a confirmation." And Talon, you are correct, they had the Lady Gaga articles there for weeks -- then they were removed and only the articles related to the Gaga-May collab on "You and I" remained. *** I did come upon an interesting quote from October 2011 is looking to see if those articles were removed..... October 4, 2011, "We talk about going out on the road all the time but there’s a bit of a singer problem, to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material." November 6, 2011: Queen performs with Adam Lambert at the MTV EMA -- and it works. After many statements from Brian and Roger, 7 concert performances in 2012 and 2013, and a likely North American tour in 2014, I think that one can safely say that they solved their "singer problem". *** Queen fans have been through this drill so many times -- Brian and Roger say stuff, or things are reported, and it just doesn't happen. That they are very cautious. I think, however, that the 2014 Queen + Adam Lambert North American Tour is real.
