I am not into Glee, but, for those who are, do people really like the Rachel character? She seems like a self-centered, narcissistic bitch who thinks the world revolves around her. Is this just for the current story line? I think it is just her current story line. When they were in HS, I think Santana was the real bitchy one.

The depth, the quality, the richness, the presence of his voice. Part of that is the vibrato he uses, which rounds and warms up the sound and contributes to the 3D or "surround sound" effect.

Ahh I guess I have a limited idea of what vibrato is.. it's more subtle than what I was thinking. I can relate to all the qualities of his voice you describe, which I also naturally respond to..

That Glee episode was so much fun - well, the NYC part anyway. I keep playing Barracuda and Gloria (which has wormed its way into my head). Happy to see it getting good press, and cannot wait to see what the big announcement will be. Chapf - the beanie smilies are so cute!! He did look scrumdillyishous tonight - especially in the cafe. Gotta get some sleep. Moving forward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vibrato is a slight oscillation in the pitch of a note. Vibrato gets a "bad rap." We have all heard singers who have such a wide vibrato that it sounds like the voice is wobbling drunkenly on a note. Or singers whose vibrato is so fast that they sound a bit like a bleating goat. Done correctly, it warms up the tone and adds depth. Adam uses vibrato very effectively and in the proper style for the genre he is singing. Here is a demonstration of vibrato. Hope it helps.
