19 stops. WOW! I guessed 15, and I know that was on the high end of the proposed guesses lists, but I did predict that they would clear about a month of their calendar for touring and that they would start in Chicago....so I am doing pretty good so far. Got the start date wrong though...I predicted August....Now on to seeing which of my 15 cities made it into the list of 19? So far I am good. Las Vegas, check, Vancouver, check, Washington DC, check...and LA and NY were obvious, so now, I am adding Chicago check, and Montreal check.... I will better check my LN logon now. I can't do too many stops, overall, maybe only one actually, so I better have decent tickets. Did not say anything about pre-sale, but I hope this info is still upcoming. Re pricing. In Eu the ticket prices were significantly higher, I don't expect any $40 student priced tickets for a Queen concert. I think we will be very lucky to get $ 75 tickets. Tbh, I expected them to all be north of the $ 100 mark, even for the cheaper seats. Sorry, if that is crushing anybody's hopes. But the major arenas that take a 50 % cut, want that to be 40 % of something substantial. This summer won't be cheap, but then Adam gave us the summer of 2013 to squirrel money away, didn't he? Loved that moment: So nice of Brian to say that. Otherwise the announcement was a bit strange, I thought. Not only the Eddie and the muffled 'We are the champions', but with no cheering and clapping audience, it was a bit dry. The anchor team at the table did great though and especially Robin was vocal in her support. Love her even more now. Go Robin! IMO the addition of QAL to the program was very very recent so they had to "squeeze" them in....it was a bit rushed, but no complaints... They planned an outside segment where there would be a sizable cheering audience, but had to bring it in inside due to temps.... ...and the mis-namings are in the air obviously.. (adele nazeem, eddie mercury...) May be a full blown media cycle will ensue, including late night talk shows??? #hoping

Talon "Last part first - Chris Cornell is the lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave. He has never performed with Queen although there are *SOME* connections. Brian performed a song with Soundgarden on a Greenpeace compilation and Brian recorded a Chris Cornell written song with another singer for the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. Chris has an amazing rock voice. Really powerful but he's never really been mentioned as a singer with them (I do personally believe it would be a very interesting pairing)." I have great respect for Chris Cornell -- and I really like Soundgarden (even the reformed modern version) -- but I am at a loss as to why anyone would connect him to Queen. Queen is truly a multi-genre band but two genres that they did not do was Seattle-style grunge rock and alt. rock. > Why do people what to put this old rockers into Freddie's shoes? They have nothing to do with him at all. Freddie was outrageous, dynamic and he always trimmed his mustache. Also, Chris Cornell circa 2014 is not Chris Cornell circa 1993 before he f'ed up his voice. He is 49 and I don't think he can come close to hitting the high notes he once had. Queen moves across so many genres -- Adam is one of the few singer who can move across these genres and who has the vocal range and power needed to do this music justice. Since this is a 19-date tour, I am hopeful that we will get some Queen catalog songs that have not been performed for decades.

8 Stops in Canada WUT!!!!!
But no Miami or Atlanta, sorry.
And the CT show in Uncasville is reachable from Boston, Hartford, Providence, Long Island (Ferry Service to New London), New Haven and all of MA, CT and Northern parts of NYC. The Southern and western parts are probably rather going to PHL or MSG anyways.
OMG: Just saw that the Washington show is actually in Columbia. That is close to Baltimore and even easier for me to reach. OMG, here I come.

Queen is truly a multi-genre band but two genres that they did not do was Seattle-style grunge rock and alt. rock. I agree to a point. I guess I'd be more interested just to see Chris and Brian do something together...not necessarily a Queen gig. I'll be honest I haven't heard much from him, so I can't speak to that! I'll defer to you there :D I just remember enjoying some of his howls back in the day! I hope so too although I doubt much...MAYBE Killer Queen?
