Questions 1.So will the AMEX presale be at the same time as the fan club presale or on a different day? 2.There are no prices for the last show on the 20th showing yet. Are they not finalized? Will they still be for sale at Monday? 3.If I click the link to buy tickets at ALF will there be different tickets available at Ticketmaster? How many tabs/computers should I have open to get tickets?  4.Do we have a ticket buying tip thread with all the information and if we don't could we have one, pretty please?  |

Why You Should Accept Adam Lambert as Queen’s New Frontman

If you’re a Queen fanatic, you have mixed feelings today. You’re elated to hear that the band are returning for a new tour, but also heartbroken at the thought of replacing the incomparable Freddie Mercury with Adam Lambert. The fact is, no one can replace Mercury. In terms of talent, energy and showmanship, he’s as unparalleled as they come for a rock frontman. And Lambert knows this. The former American Idol runner-up’s flamboyance and singing style clearly draw deep inspiration from Mercury, and he’s acknowledging that as Queen’s frontman on the tour, he’s essentially along for the ride. “I’m honored to be able to pay my respects to Freddie’s memory; he’s a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band.” This isn’t about improving upon, replacing or even approaching what Freddie Mercury brought to the table, even though Brian May has said Lambert would get Mercury’s seal of approval. This tour is meant to honor the legacy and influence of one of rock and roll’s greatest artists in the best way possible: by performing his songs.When Lambert takes the stage, he doesn’t need to channel Mercury, or imitate him in any way. He just needs to be himself and sing the songs straight up. He’s already proven able to do that. And if Queen’s prior performances with Lambert are any indication, there will be virtual duets with a video of Mercury anyway, if you’d prefer something like a hologram to a live singer. If you end up seeing Queen & Adam Lambert live this year, go to enjoy the songs and celebrate Mercury’s legacy along with everyone else. Concerning yourself with comparisons between Lambert and Mercury are frankly a waste of time.
Adam Lambert is no Freddie Mercury…But he doesn’t have to be.

Any suggestions on the best order to buy tickets, book hotel, plane reservations? I am so excited I can hardly think straight.

Well, I'm really confused. Toyota Center Houston has tickets for sale already on their site. I don't understand. Thought they went on sale next week.
