I think that Roger and Brian are perhaps as excited as Adam about this tour. My impression is that they had not anticipated, prior to 2012, ever going out on another full tour of Queen. Never anticipated that the special magic they once experienced with an incredible singer and showman could happen again. Brian has made several comments about Adam's unique ability to sing their catalogue of songs in their original keys. That may sound like a very minor concern, but, for a serious musician, the choice of key for a song is important. Change the key, and you change the sound and the feel of the composition, as much as changing the tempo or arrangement. In actuality, on tour in later years, even Freddie could not sing the songs/notes as they had originally been conceived. To have a nice guy who is fun and easy to work with turn out to be the ONLY one who can sing their songs as they conceived them must be a special thrill. Very true. On Oscar's night there were comments here about how Bette Midler didn't sound so great. She is 68 years old and her voice just sounds a bit old. Hard to believe. But the voice just does not hold up as well as the muscles and coordination for playing and instrument.

Maybe I am naive but this is not a one of like IHeart which was SO CRAZY with respect to tickets. This is a big tour. If you are not attached to a particular venue, I suspect not every one will be sold out in 5 minutes. My strategy is to buy at least one or two pre sale so I know I can sleep at night and then play. I also am thinking of buying very cheap tickets to several more and then upgrading at the last minute as those opportunities happen often. How does one "upgrade" tickets? Do you mean just forfeit the money you paid for the poorer seats and buy better seats? You can't upgrade and just pay the difference can you? I'm not totally sure but I've been under the impression that you pay the difference and forfeit your previous seats.

I too read the comments and felt sad. She sang reminiscent of her bath house days and added a little camp. Yeah, I've heard her sing better but all things considered I felt like she did a great job. She still has that twinkle in her eyes when she's performing and I love that she hasn't lost that. I've come to appreciate all types of voices and am mostly in awe of people who possess some unique quality to enhance their performances (and I don't necessarily mean twerking). I appreciate when people perform without the aid of artificial streams and beats and welcome a few flaws. I don't know where it's written that everything must be perfect.

I'm also so amazingly happy that Adam confirmed he's working on his third album, and clearly stated this is a once in a lifetime thing, but it's in parallel to his own career, not replacing it. Gods, what a week of Adam goodness!!!!!

Re ticket upgrades: sometimes people sell the tickets (on Atop, usually at face value), some give their first ticket (s) to someone who could not otherwise afford to go; and others eat the cost. I've not heard of people turning them in and paying the difference, but I'm sure someone will provide other information.
