And what about other venus? Any of them any good acoustically? How about the outdoor Merriweather Post Pavilion? I see the Merriweather has a caoacity of 19,316 but only 5,200 seats are covered. Hope I get 1 of the 5,200 covered seats in case if rain. But hiw does the sound differ from areana and beteween covered & uncovered seating? From personal experience, if you want to see don't go if you don't get undercover. If you want to listen and party, then the lawn is okay. The sound will not be contained in any way once you are out from under the cover. It will be muggy if it's a typical Md summer and typically thunder storms may be forecasted. I've been to great concerts at Merriweather but not ever too concerned about the sound just the experience -- CSNY, Bonnnie Raitt, Joni Mitchell, Willie Nelson. Tickets were "inside" for all but Bonnie and that whole concert was very disconnected because the sound was worse then a scratched vinyl album (and I LOVE her) and I couldn't see a thing (AND, I was on my one and only blind date EVER). This is sound advice. I went to many, many concerts in the early 80s to 90s, and it was also a strategical decision whether to get lawn tickets or pavilion seats. Financial resources were limited, so we'd get lawn seats if we just wanted to be part of the scene and party and hear the band. Can't really see up on the hill. But definitely under the pavilion if you want to see AND hear. One word of advice: be careful not to get an obstructed view. It's called Merriwether POST Pavollion for a reason and it is possible to be seated directly behind a post (as my boyfriend was for one of many REM shows we saw in the 80s). Someone with more recent experience, like coo.coo, is this still the case? ETA: Angry bears and triple posts. Sorry abt that, folks!

Queen is bringing non-fans to Adam
My husband just called to tell me he heard on the radio Queen + Adam Lambert was coming to Chicago. He said he could put up with a few Adam songs for Queen. He said, "Tickets go on sale next Friday. Book a room for the weekend and get tickets." I couldn't tell him I booked a room 24 hours ago. LOL.
I had planned to meet with fan girls but this was very sweet and uncharicteristic. I have always been the one to plan things. He called back to tell me he thought we could celebrate being empty nesters and thought I might be needing a pick me up.

That OUT interview is fabulous...thank you pi for bringing it over! Love to see or read that interview. Which page is it on? Thanks. I may just be missing how it is labelled... Ps. I did check page 1 under listings of media ....no Out listed and then did a search of pi's latest posts ...and noticed the Pop one with Lance Bass posted by pi. Is that the one! also. Wondering about the interview where Adam tells how he was able to learn all the words to the Queen songs....someone mentioned that in a post......again I could not locate it.. Thx. As a true fan. Hoping for all the scoop!!
