Weird because Am Ex has been the best seats, when I search. Way better than the fan club! And for Mohegan, it was the only way I was able to get tickets on Monday's presale. Kept getting nothing with the fan club. Looks like slim pickins on today's presale, though, for every venue! Mohegan Sun is different -- there are 7 venues that have presale differences. There are multiple concert managers. The Ticketmaster Arenas, Wells Fargo, Montreal, Houston all had much better tickets in the fan presale than AMEX presale. Mohegan Sun is a ticketmaster arena. All their sales have been thru TM.

exactly what I was thinking. Adam was a professional theater actor for 10 years prior to idol. He knows all about grueling schedules and working his ass off. Adam did 117 shows during Glam Nation without even a rescheduling of any concerts! He was in charge of everything, did 100% of the singing, with no one else to come out and sing a few songs for a vocal break. And he knows how to take care of his voice! Been doing it since he was 10! He will be fine!

Thinking about putting my Gold Circle middle section FF (six rows from the stage) on eBay or StubHub. Bought it before the more reasonable Gold Circles came available and in the gracious spirit of Atop, was able to get one of those in a fabulous location. Good deeds beget more and I turned around and was able to facilitate the same for four other Atoppers. What a great community we have!
I hoped for takers here but so far it hasn't worked out. Any advice? Haven't used these sites for selling tickets before. Should I just wait and watch the fever grow for my killer LV seat? Or better yet, an Atopper who comes to his/her senses and realizes the momentousness of being so close to QAL in an intimate venue.

A full length Queen concert is a huge vocal challenge. Especially if they choose some songs from their repertoire that they haven't toured with since Freddie because they are too vocally difficult. (Roger and Brian's comments about Adam being able to deliver their songs leads me to believe they are excited to assay songs they couldn't before. Didn't Brian say they wanted to challenge Adam?) It would be easy to strain one's voice singing those numbers repeatedly on a tour. Any number of lead singers have damaged or ruined their voices from touring (among other things).
If we believe the rumors, Adam has insured his voice for $40 million. The man KNOWS it is his greatest asset. He is not going to risk it on one tour. He knows how to properly take care of it. When asked, he repeatedly has talked about getting enough rest and drinking a lot of water. Have you noticed how much he drinks during a performance? (Usually NOT alcohol. Tea, and water mainly. Lots of it. Between almost every song. Do other singers do that?) In the recent interview he also mentioned having the ear monitors set correctly so that he can hear himself and doesn't oversing. No wonder he is always tweaking the sound in his monitors and working with the sound guy.
But, the most important thing is, Adam knows how to sing correctly to protect his voice. Where untrained singers reaching for some of the Queen glory notes would strain their vocal cords, Adam's technique will not.
When I was posting all the tour dates on the calendar I noticed that most of the time, there is a day between each performance for rest and travel. Until the last week, they are doing few concerts back to back. Very smart from a vocal point of view.
There are other factors as well. Certainly Adam's experience in musical theater and the GNT will help him pace himself, on and off the stage. The physical stamina and strength to sing a full Queen concert is intense, but, Adam has been working out and developing his muscles more, which will help. Adam is under stress to "prove himself" as the frontman for Queen, but, this time he is going into the tour with many folks raving about how great he is as frontman, so he should feel more positive support. Perhaps most importantly, he is NOT the boss, not in charge, not shouldering the entire performance himself. He doesn't have to worry about the band AT ALL. They are the best in the business. He doesn't have to worry about the songs. They are some of the best in rock, for the past 40 years. Brian and Roger have both emphasized that they are going to take care of Adam onstage. I am sure that means working with the set list, pacing the show, giving him breaks, and watching his back.
I am going to the opening show, which sometimes means a show that is not up to the best quality. I have no concerns about this show, tho'. They have performed together often now. They have said they will have extensive rehearsals. They are all three perfectionists. There may be a technical/set glitch or two, but the music will be stellar. I can't wait.
