Merriweather starts at 6:30 pm, so it will be daylight and the concert will be over before the surrounding neighborhood wants to go to bed and complain about noise levels. It also means that I think this concert will have a very different atmosphere than others. 1. We probably will not get the same light show for obvious reasons. 2. It will be the last concert (assuming they do not add dates at the end for SE of US) and concert will be over at an hour that allows the post concert party to continue in surrounding bars/hotels/restaurants,,,whatever Glamberts will take over. 3. Adam will not have to watch his voice and will give it his ALL. It should be great, assuming people adjust to this more casual surroundings there. 'Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon'! Pretty sure 6:30 is the door open time NOT concert start time. Concert will probably still start around 8pm. Maybe if there is a noise curfew it might start at 7:30 but door opening is usually at least an hour before concert time. The noise curfew in effect for Merriweather is at 11:30PM with a modest restriction at 10:00PM. And it was changed in 2013 to allow louder concerts.... I love-hate Merriweather -- one of my favorite concert venues but has its own unique challenges. And it will certainly be different from all the other concerts. The concerts usually start 90 minutes after the gates open at Merriweather Post Pavilion. That would put the concert start time at 8:00PM. Sunset is at 8:29PM. They usually have light, video and effects at this venue. And, although it is in the woods, it has a great sound system. ETA: Usually people party at Merriweather before the concert. Tailgating is allowed here, and theoretically alcohol is banned in the parking lot but enforcement has been non-existent in the past. Last time I was there, we tailgated with Wine, Sangria, Bloody Mary Salad, Vodka Watermelon, and an array of tapas! We brought in water (I think that all you can bring in is one bottle of water) and fruit and cheese. The pre-concert 90 minutes is a long wait and they do not have very good food there. Kind of like fair food. >> The Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia) has the best venue food on this tour. [I have never been to the middle of Canada venues but based on the online reviews they are not known for great food. |

Hey Aleks, this is going to be my first Adam concert -- I'm not going to be an Adam virgin any more!!! I wish you could go to a concert. I would absolutely love to read your recap! No way!!! Ah, I am so excited for you!!!  Happy, you know me, you KNOW I am going to write about it until I drop dead:) It hasn't stopped me before, has it, not being able to go. It's all in my mind:) Oh, can I put you on my short list of people I plan to live vicariously through? Not many virgins left among Glamberts I know.
