Does anyone think that people in high places are taking note of the MSG ticket selling, and are surprised and/or impressed by how soon it sold out? I know I am:-) The tour tickets being sold, or almost sold out, much faster than I anticipated is really great for things to come. But I ask, are insider peeps taking notice?
I am so outside, consider me the moon, LOL
ETA: Q3 thank you for the reply. YES, "stature" is the right word. I understand. Thanks!

I posted a lot about iHeart including a long, lone post on page 1 a few days later -- probably you could find the posts with a search -- but Roger Taylor hit the right word I think -- He said Adam had more "stature". I used the word command and confidence. But "stature" captures. He was the biggest, most powerful person who stood on that stage and his voice radiated across the crowd. The experience is still very vivid for me. This reminded me so much of the first time I saw Adam perform after a meet and greet with him. In my recap I wrote: "The fact that I saw him first as a human person, then later as the stage persona caused some sort of huge disconnect that I am only now beginning to reconcile. For me as a fan, as a member of the audience I recognize that his voice really is the voice of a generation- something so rare and so finely honed that it simply delights the mind- we all know this. But as large as that talent is, in my mind it is absolutely dwarfed by his stagecraft- the way he is able to walk on a stage, put on that persona, and dominate a room was just magnificent.
....
And for me, to take this massively talented voice and to add to that the ability to absolutely transform himself onstage- it augments his talent in every direction, in every way, to a place I can barely comprehend."

I don't give a @#$% what Old Queen/Freddie fans think about Queen with Adam as frontman. If they are excited about being able to see such an iconic rock band with two of the original members bringing the magic back to life, great! If they would rather watch videos of concerts 28 years ago, bless them. I care that Adam IS fronting for Queen. Queen IS touring the US one more time. Tickets are selling like wildfire. If they played only to the seats already sold, it would be deemed a highly successful tour, and we have 3 months to go! I care that I am going to see this incredible collaboration, this amazing show. If the arenas were only 1/10 sold I might be hoping to pursuade long-time Freddie fans to give Adam a try. But, with arenas selling out (or at 90% capacity and opening up new blocks of seats that hadn't even originally been intended for sale)those fans can sit at home in their basements watching Wayne's World and old videos and pontificating about how great Queen once was and what a travesty it is to still play that music as "Queen." Their loss. I want the arenas to be filled with fans who are ready to hear and see something extraordinary. You don't care about me?!?!? ETA: Seriously, there are a lot, a whole lot of Queen, and yes Freddie, fans who are very excited about this and buying tickets. And there are not that many people posting negative comments about this Tour and Adam. Please do not mistake some morons on Twitter and and a few grumpy old men, as representing Queen fans. To me that is the equivalent of associating me with an 80 year old Glambert wearing a corset to an Adam concert or someone in a glitter bee costume as representing Adam fans. Oh, sweetie. You know I was not talking about you. And I did say that I didn't give a !@#$ what fans THINK about Queen with Adam, not that I don't care about the people themselves. It is my knee jerk reaction to reading about comments made at different sites, or tweets circulating that are slamming the idea of Adam singing for Queen. You are correct, that many Queen fans are either thrilled or open to the idea. Many are buying tickets. So I see no reason to focus my attention on those few who are spreading negativity when I am so happy about the tour and the ticket sales. I don't see how hearing about, reading about, or interacting about these naysayers enriches my life, makes me a better person, or enhances my knowledge in any way.

I do have some concern, and some questions, about how well Adam has connected to a younger audience thru "Glee". Some fans here just offer that as a "fact". I know we can point to comments on the youtube videos from the show. I know I am seeing some obvious "Glee" fans and Demi Lovato fans (with Lovatic names) tweeting that they are going to the Q + A concerts or are hoping to get tickets.
BUT I have not seen a noticeable increase in Adam's twitter followers, and young people, I believe, are much more engaged in social media than their elders.
So does anyone have an idea why Adam's twitter following basically seems static or stuck at 2.2 million?

I'm going too!!! This is my first post but I have been an Adam fan from the time he was on Idol. Lurking at Atop is such fun, it helps to know that my obsession is shared by so many. Welcome to Adamtopia, Gabriella! It looks like Atop will be represented in Toronto.TY for the welcome.....and I will be close by in section 102.
