I do have some concern, and some questions, about how well Adam has connected to a younger audience thru "Glee". Some fans here just offer that as a "fact". I know we can point to comments on the youtube videos from the show. I know I am seeing some obvious "Glee" fans and Demi Lovato fans (with Lovatic names) tweeting that they are going to the Q + A concerts or are hoping to get tickets. BUT I have not seen a noticeable increase in Adam's twitter followers, and young people, I believe, are much more engaged in social media than their elders. So does anyone have an idea why Adam's twitter following basically seems static or stuck at 2.2 million? I am in the mood to lay my head on the board for the hoards to wield their guillotine sooooo at the risk of looking like a dreaded 'entitled' fan, I think the issue is that Adam has pretty much vacated twitter other than to tweet out pleasantries about other artists. There has not been a twitter party in ages and ages. The personal comments have been light/superficial and rare. We are not privy to much at all....on any level....that is not "public" PR, whether that be a selfie with some anonymous male at a bar, or a press release with Queen. Some of this is strategic to his career and some seems to come from what looks like a decision to protect his privacy. He absolutely has the right to do all of this. But like everything in life, there is a price to be paid. His twitter numbers reflect that. Basically, his twitter feed is boring to all but the most avid fan....not much there to attract a newcomer. looking for that blue couch now.....

When you start counting in millions and increment your counter only every 100K followers, it might just seem stuck, when actually, he is continually adding followers. He is at ca. 2,240,000 now. It is still growing. But it obviously, is not going to grow as fast, if it is not as heavily used by Adam right now. I am sure that will change, as he gets closer to having news for us about the album or single.
Which app/website is it again, that allows you to look at somebody's follower-history? I am sure somebody will know. I thought he was still adding about 1500 per day. Not bad at all.

And add the same for Instagram. When glee first started the IG likes shot up substantially (to 25k ish), they have trickled back down to 15k ish. Post a glee pic or a tidbit tweet from time to time and keep everybody engaged. Attention spans are increasingly short and the need to be constantly entertained increases. In my eyes this is easy opportunity lost.

Brian Cantor @cantorpedia 18m #GLEE 1st Look: *Ultra-High-Res* Pics from "New York, New York." Featuring @adamlambert, @chriscolfer, @msleamichele headlineplanet.com/home/2014/03/18/glee-first-look-action-moves-new-york-new-york/ …
“Glee” fans got their wish in principle. And come April 1, they will find out whether they put their will behind the right cause. Following the two Lima-set episodes “100″ and “New Directions,” which air this week and next week, respectively, “Glee” will shift the entirety of its focus to the New York setting. While several characters presently rooted in Ohio will also make the move, the emphasis on New York will also place a bigger spotlight on the Big Apple’s existing inhabitants. In a first look at the “New York, New York” episode, which airs April 1, FOX reveals that characters like Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Elliott (Adam Lambert) will have time to shine.
Lea Michele’s Rachel, meanwhile, will continue to reign as the show’s star. FOX’s high-resolution production photos from “New York, New York” follow. Click the thumbnails and then the expanded images to view the full-size versions:

Sorry, I don't agree about the twitter. I don't think most fans who follow an entertainer on twitter are expecting a "personal relationship".
Check out Katy Perry's twitter. She now has 51+ million followers. Her tweets are mostly about her tour, her videos, etc (in other words, self promotion). There is an occasional tweet about a movie she liked or a song she's listened to. But she is not delving into her soul and offering fans anything approaching a "relationship".
