OTOTOT (since tour info/Live Nation are in our news.. ...Mods please delete if you feel it is necessary due to the people included). I cannot get this channel (EPIX) but this may be an interesting documentary that airs tonight. It is about Authur Fogel who is a Canadian music promoter, currently serving at Live Nation Entertainment as CEO of its Global Touring division and as Chairman of its Global Music group. Here's a description of the show: NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Premium entertainment network EPIX announced a new air date today for the world television premiere of Who the F**k is Arthur Fogel? The documentary will make its World Television Premiere on Wednesday, March 19, at 8PM ET. This documentary by Ron Chapman profiles Arthur Fogel, a relatively unknown businessman who has revolutionized the global concert touring industry. When it airs on March 19, the documentary will include new material including concert footage and a never-before-seen exclusive interview with recording artist and pop superstar Lady Gaga. “Arthur is a really special person,” said Lady Gaga, “and he really did not need to take a chance on me. He has tons of artists, he has a huge career, he didn’t have to do it. But he did it because he believes in me and he believes in my fans, so I‘ll always believe in him.” Who the F**k is Arthur Fogel? includes an in-depth interview with Fogel, as well as appearances by Bono, The Edge, Sting, Andy Summers, Madonna, Geddy Lee, Bill Zysblat, Monte Pittman, Kathy Schenker, Paul McGuinness, Ray Waddell, Michael Rapino, Guy Oseary, Elliot Roberts, Lady Gaga, David Bowie, Troy Carter and many many more, as well as rarely seen concert performances. In addition to the interviews, the film features the music of Lady Gaga, Madonna, Rush, Sting, The Police, U2 and Depeche Mode to name a few. more.... www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140127006354/en#.UylFd4U7RsU

Augenpoesie, your flower photos are always a wonderful way to start my day and today's is no exception. I hope you don't mind me saying, but it is incredibly sexual. Reminds me of Georgia O'Keeffe. You are so very talented.

Here is the Talon take on today's countdown The BBC versions are exceptional! Son And Daughterwritten by Brian May Musicians: Freddie Mercury - vocals Brian May - guitars, backing vocals John Deacon - bass guitar Roger Taylor - drums, backing vocals - Queen goes the more standard blues-rock vein. This is probably the closest they came to emulating Led Zeppelin, some of their heroes at the time. - They played the song live through 1976 although by the end it was little more than a 30-45 second version that ended Brian's guitar solo. Even at the beginning though, live this served as the home for Brian May's guitar solo. - Great lyrical tale from Brian talking to a female friend who was so hellbent on being treated equally that she began emulating some of the worst qualities of men and began losing the good qualities of womanhood. So while some have misinterpreted it it truly is about being strong in your womanhood. How many 70s rock bands wrote a good feminine-empowering track - One of the main riffs used in Neil Fairclough's "Spot-the-riff" solo from QAL. ALTERNATIVE RELEASED VERSIONS: BBC SESSION #3- ESSENTIAL listening. - Released on Queen At The Beeb in 1989 in the UK and Queen At The BBC in 1995 in the US. - Since it was recorded for radio purposes Freddie didn't sing the word, "shit". It does add a lot of extra guitar work by Brian although, I don't think it's as good as the unreleased Session #2. AUSTRALIAN SINGLE EDITNO YT VIDEO - Released on vinyl single in Australia. - Censored and two verses were cut. I actually don't have a copy of this one. One of the few versions of songs I don't have. UNRELEASED VERSIONS: BBC SESSION #2- ESSENTIAL LISTENING. - My favorite version. It does include a bit of Brian's guitar solo ala the live version. And has an occasional new Roger vocal in the background. Very strong performance. UNRELEASED AND UNHEARD: - Rumors of "Outtakes" are bandied about. Not much is known. LIVE VERSIONS: LIVE AT THE RAINBOW - NOVEMBER 1974- Freddie stayed away from "shit" still. Not sure why considering he swore up and down the stage later :D - Features a wonderful version of Brian's harmonizing with himself on the guitar. Great solo! -Great performance by the whole band. PERSONAL NOTES: - I want to point out John Deacon who doesn't get much love because he's SO subtle and rarely stands out. But if you listen to Queen's bass parts they are rarely simple and John makes wonderful musical choices and runs. He really is very underrated. - This one isn't going to go on my Best of Queen mix I've been years in the making, but it is a great snapshot of where they were at the time as they began to move forward into campier, more theatrical rock. Next up...Freddie goes back to religion with... Jesus
