But I know Max would not work with someone w/o a major label & without major guarantees! No disrespect REALLY, but does someone here know Max Martin personally and heard him say that? Or is this supposition based on what is general knowledge regarding MM? Just genuinely curious how that came to be MM canon- the "no involvement without a label" thing. He never has and why would he?

Ah,it is a restaurant. eta: so sometimes a pomegranate is just a pomegranate It is a cafe: www.cafekaffekoppen.se/english/"Café Kaffekoppen is a cozy café with lovely food and cold and hot drinks in a unique building at Stortorget 20 i the heart of Gamla stan (Old town) in Stockholm, just a stone’s throw from the Royal Palace. He never has and why would he? I understand that, but still- not proof :D ETA: I realize that this might come off as somewhat combative- it is not. I really don't even care. But it always piques my curiosity how things become carved in stone. Maybe he just likes Adam!

So Adam was is in another country and caught up with an old friend. They spent a bit of time and maybe grabbed a meal and drink together. WOW what a strange and totally unusual thing for someone to do... If I'm in (or near) a city where a good friend (even old boyfriend) lives I always make a point of catching up with them - don't others?
Very confused why its such a big deal for people. But I guess #carryon

Even no matter who is funding this, "They are going for broke!" Doesn't matter if it's Adam or a label. But I know Max would not work with someone w/o a major label & without major guarantees! Guarantee of first single. Guarantee of major support from the label's radio team. Adam knows this is it! If #3 fails, Pop radio will be gone for him. Going for broke" means putting it all on the line. Giving your all. It doesn't gave to have anything to do with $$$! I know this is probably true, but when I see it in writing, it scares the crap outta me!!!! I DON'T WANNA HEAR IT!!!! [sticks head in sand.....]

Ah the word Cafe! different meanings depending on what part of US you are from. Love it. Interesting! Explain, dahling! in the south well Texas, a cafe is a small diner/restaurant. Ie: breakfast place. In the Northeast it seems to mean somewhere that serves alcohol. Mom and I were outside of Boston looking for an apt for me when I transferred with American Airlines to Boston from Ft Worth. It was 8am and we had not had breakfast so my Mother asked if there was cafe near by. The agent did get a funny look on her face and said no, then later said "oh i think I know where you can get a drink" We had thought it funny no one served breakfast in the area. When lm2718 differentiated between cafe and restaurant the meanings may still be regionally blurred! the same went when asked if you want your coffee regular (to me black)to them it meant with cream. and what the hell was a frappe and a sub? this was 1978 so some meanings have blurred into reg use over the years!
