To return to an earlier discussion...do you think the CLUES we are searching for meanings to could be song titles? Or tentative tracks and themes? Go for broke? Commit? Stockholm syndrome (reminiscent of Chokehold). That could be fun.....lol

Craazyforadam, I think Gridlock and Rock My Town were two different things. I was at Rock My Town in NYC which was great, and it had Allison, Adam and Kris then they closed out with Crazy. Gridlock was a NY Year's gig in California.
As for the other stuff, no clue.

Does this mean that the level of interest for Queen+Adam has shifted and is much higher in the USA than the UK? Are those three London shows all they wanted to do or all they could do at the time? Why is the interest for these concerts bigger than for Queen+PR in the USA? And don't tell me that's because of the better promo. How much of it is not because of Adam himself, or Queen themselves, but because of people appreciating Adam and Queen combination?
ETA/// I just read previous posts and mine seems a bit off topic now. To clarify, it's about the added shows and the Tour selling out pretty amazingly

I think in the UK that was all they really wanted to do at the time. As for the US. There are a few things especially regarding QPR. And part of it is promo. There was NO promo for QPR. QPR didn't even have a big "event" to showcase it like iheart. I know that's not the only reason but that is a part of it. The second part is Adam is a hotter commodity than Paul is amongst a younger demo. The combination of a younger and older act has a far bigger demographic. AND the Queen + AL combo is an event... I do think the combination is also one that feels like a "once in a lifetime" kind of combo so it's garnered interest that way.

I'm sure there are a combination of reasons, but I think it was a stroke of luck/genius/whatever that they performed at iHeart and the top people from Clear Channel, as well as a lot of DJs, saw the performance. I would guess many minds were changed and many eyes were opened. Comments have been really positive on many radio broadcasts - that has to have an influence. And when the "right people" love something/someone, many others follow. Things are good... ETA: And as much as I wanted Adam to be the one to sing "Somebody to Love," when Nate R. from .fun sang it, it showed bigtime how great a singer Adam is. Things are good...

Aleks maybe the UK is oversaturated? With We Will Rock You the Musical and Brian and Roger popping up everywhere and QE?
With about 25 shows, would it kill them to add in "Innuendo?" Fingers crossed.

Perhaps they think that 2012 was too recent for them to plan another appearance. Perhaps they believe that the UK is more resistant to the idea of them performing without Freddie. (Queen is an institution.) Maybe they only have a June/July window and maybe they promised it to Live Nation/US.
That doesn't preclude another mini-tour of Europe or Asia down the road. The Q+PR tour had a few time outs.
I feel very sad for southern Glamberts but a lot of those venues did not do well for Q+PR and it looks as though they have paid close attention to box office figures for those two tours. West coast dates are showing up because Adam has a strong following there and the box office to prove it.

Quuen + PR sold terribly in Atlanta. I'm sure they have professionals whose job it is to figure out the best places to set these shows. Q+PR sold terribly in San Francisco too, but yet QAL is doing well 30 miles from SF in San Jose. Dancy, do you know when Q+PR played San Francisco? Surprised I missed it. I saw them in San Jose and although I don't have box office figures, the show seemed well attended, so I'm curious about this.

Crikey, seeing as I am obsessed with airfares right now I just checked and Helsinki to Stockholm and back is a mere $116USD. The heck?
A short flight like that from my podunk corner of the world can't be had for under $400. I'm in the wrong place :(
