Buderschnookie...I have been researching different kinds of ear plugs and I am getting so confused. So these are the best to protect the ears and still let the music sound great? Some ear phones I use for my Ipod are hard for me to keep from falling out. I guess the standard Etymotic ear plugs stay in pretty good? Thanks for the information. I ordered two different kinds to try but have only gotten one set in so far. The Etymotic's came in Friday and I wore them at work. I am a dog groomer and use high velocity dryers which are very loud and high pitched. The Etymotic's were both comfortable and effective. They cut the highs but it still felt like I could hear normally without feeling like the sound was muffled. Usually I wear a pair of over the ear type noise cancelling headphones but those cut too much sound for music listening. With the Etymotic's I could still hear music playing on my phone as long as I was able to get the volume up. The one I couldn't hear turned out to be low volume even with my phone turned up all the way.

I did a search on the word physiology and found you posted this on May 16, 2011 at 9:56pm in vocal masterclass thread but it was posted first in the daily thread probably either that same day or the day before. I didn't check that. I don't have the link to the page. ETA: link to post in thread adamtopia.com/post/47183/threadThanks a bunch. I tried searching but was not successful. You have the golden touch. Now, to see if I can post the link on Adamofficial. Haven't been on there for years. LOL that was actually a stumble across it. I have never been good at searching but figured I'd give it a go for once. Tried the title first but came up with nothing so I looked through the piece for a word that would only come up in a deep discussion post, chose "physiology", spelled it wrong the first time (HA) and had to go back and look at it again. Came up with 2 pages of posts with that word and just scrolled till I found it. I was pretty surprised that I actually did find it. Then I had to figure out how to get the link to the post

I went ahead and ordered because my research showed them to be what I was looking for in sound quality. Glad you had such good luck with them. I posted up thread about ordering them from 'sweetwater.com' where you don't have to pay shipping cost. I posted the link there.

Canadian reporting in. It's cold in Winnipeg and there is snow. Lots of snow this winter and lots of cold. No worries about sharing the snow comment. LOL
If it's true then it's ok to say it. And baby it's true.

I have small ear canals and regular ear buds often either fall out or get uncomfortable after a short time. I kept these in for a couple of hours with no problem.
