General sale update -- all 5 concerts are selling well. Ultimate seats are gone everywhere (gone on day 1 of the pre-sale.) There are Diamond seats for all 5, North Jersey has the fewest left.
Boston - no map - selling at a moderate rate - appears to be selling slightly faster than the Wells Fargo Center concert in Philadelphia.
North Jersey - sold deeply. The Diamond seats are almost gone here. Looks like it will sell out.
Atlantic City - there is a map -- looks like they are holding back blocks of tickets which is normal for this venue (casinos). Selling about as quickly as Philly.
Mohegan Sun - sold almost as deeply as North Jersey. Good Diamond seats still available. Looks like it will sell out.
Toronto - there is a map -- some sections not yet for sale. Most of the floor and 100 level sold -- there remaining seats have upgrades are singles or are back rows sides. This one could sell out.
***
Auburn Hills (Detroit) which is a hard venue to sell out -- now has opened up more back rows in the upper deck. This is a big venue and for the sides of the upper deck, they open up 4 rows at a time for most concerts. The left side is now on the back 4 rows, the right side still has some rows blocked out. They also opened up some rows on the 100 level with fan packs.
The Interactive Maps cannot be used to count seats sold unless someone watches them to see when tickets are made available and when they are sold.

I gotta ask. Did Adam ever sing in a metal band or anything cause seriously when he goes way up there he sounds like Rob Halford. I'm not foolin, Adam could probably sing "Painkiller" easily. I like Adam and that kinda thing doesn't bug me but I bet its gonna bug alot of people. Alot of people probably see it as screaming even if its not cause it can sound damn close. I'm guessing he was the top vote getter? Maybe Allison was though...---------- bzork Couch Potato Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 9:38 PM
His dad's FACE! It was hysterical -- sort of 'I am so incredibly PROUD OF MY SON, but goddamn is he gay.' I died laughing. It was touching, and funny, and poignant and cool.
------------- troubleinmind Fanatic Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 9:47 PM As of this moment, I am only rooting for Adam. Everyone else bores me to tears. Especially Kris Allen.
------------ phoebepoodle Couch Potato Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 9:50 PM
Adam will not be going home for a long, long, time, darling. I'm calling top 2, for reals.
------------- freckle face Loyal Viewer Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 10:10 PM Snaphappy
I happen to know Adam's father and he is a great guy. Eber (Adam's father) is so funny, warm and sincere. I have never seen a set of parents love and truly put their child first as I have seen with the Lambert's. His parents are divorced, by the way. Have been for a long time, but are still great friends and truly have affection for each other. Adam came out to his parents pretty young and they were as great as any child would hope.
------------ Snaphappy Couch Potato Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 11:11 PM Well, he *is* Constantine's lovechild, so you know. It goes with the territory. I personally liked it. but I can see why others would feel kinda violated. You know, for a gay man, he's very...sexual in a heterosexual way. I can't really explain it, but I feel it, you know? Like he likes guys, but he oozes straight guy "I'm gonna make girls swoon"-ness. It's such a weird combination.
--------------- adelaide97 Video Archivist Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 11:17 PM I confess to not getting the Adam/Constantine comparisons. As far as I'm concerned, Adam is sex on a stick with lots of jewelry, while Constantine just reminded me of Jesus.
I'm disturbingly and perhaps irrevocably attracted to Adam. Go ahead and break my heart--is he for sure gay? ------------------ #105 coolio70 Couch Potato Posted Feb 26, 2009 @ 11:20 PM I haven't given much thought to his sexuality--but I have to admit that during his performance the sexuality--though very very contrived, didn't strike me as overtly gay or overtly straight. 'Tis true. The teenage girls who don't know better can keep thinking he is flicking his tongue at them, straight through their tv.

Adam has some annoying tics, but boy the guy is quite a professional singer. [WHAT???? WHEN???WHERE???]

Anja @adamsglitter91 1h #adamlambert in German BRAVO magazine again, losing this time tho. He still looks way hotter :D instagram.com/p/mIjDIooEjb/ It's not tailored to fit Adam as well. He has a great body and needs to show it off. Kittykay, I'm not sure any amount of tailoring could make that tunic show off his body. :

Yes, she is on Twitter. Talked with her today and she seems to be okay. She said she misses us all very much. (I don't know why she is not here though.) I know from experience that twitter can be extremely addictive. It's one of the reasons I haven't been here as much lately. Glad you are posting lately. You've been missed.

I would like to see Adam in that Hooded Monks robe with different shoe-boots, and without the Ray of Light dancers.

more from the Group 2 Results thread:
harleycat Channel Surfer Posted Feb 27, 2009 @ 1:51 AM OK, don't kill me for saying this, but to me, the way that Adam works his sexuality reminds me very much of Freddie Mercury. NOT the way they sing, not the way they live, but the way they aren't afraid to BE sexual and let the chips fall where they may. It's refreshing to see someone who doesn't appear to be putting on a persona, but just being themselves. Of course, not everyone is going to like it...
---------- adelaide97 Video Archivist Posted Feb 27, 2009 @ 1:52 AM I think you nailed it right there. I wouldn't mind if Adam Lambert sang about fat-bottomed girls making his rockin' world go 'round. ------------ Michelle Loyal Viewer Posted Feb 27, 2009 @ 9:08 AM Adam is the ONLY contestant I have ever felt could sucessfully tackle Steve Perry and not rip it to teeny tiny shreds.
But there is the lack of Journey on this show because Steve doesn't want the music to be used in a cheesy way I guess. I mean Journey has to battle the cheese enough. I was horrified at Queen week and how bad they butchered my beloved Queen songs. I can't imagine them butchering my beloved Journey songs too. Quote YES!! He absolutely reminds me of Freddie in that Freddie was just... sexual. Yes, he could be "gay", but he could also make me think "GOD! Why does he have to be GAY?" Not because I think gay is bad, but because I'm a girl and know I wouldn't do a damn thing for him in that respect.
So yes, I seem to get the same reaction when watching Adam. I recognize that my best gay friend would be sitting there just as turned on as me and that is not a bad thing when selling records. Especially when you can sing. ------------------- Konfusion Couch Potato Posted Feb 27, 2009 @ 10:04 AM
...... I'm so firmly on the Adam love train at this point. How does he fit that crazy range into those tight pants? -------------- Mila Video Archivist Posted Feb 28, 2009 @ 8:43 PM
Well, so much for the criticism that all he can do is scream. ------------------ WpgVirgo Posted Feb 28, 2009 @ 10:40 PM
Holy crap, between this lovely song and the earlier clips that have been found online I'm starting to wonder if there is any musical production that Adam hasn't been a part of. I'm going to have to closely check over the credits for Rocky Horror Picture Show to see if he had a bit part in there somewhere. Speakling of which, I really hope he picks a song from that soundtrack at some point this season.
So when Adam and Danny are on the same stage together will they cancel each other out or explode, like matter and anti-matter?

nica: Thanks for bringing over those comments about Adam. We really need to archive them somewhere. Maybe you can PM 4Ms about where they should go? They must be kept for reference beyond the daily thread! Interesting version of the Adam "Wicked" story. I can see where outsinging the gals in the show would be a "no-no." It really is a girl's story. And I wonder, had Adam been given the lead role for the SF run of the show, would he have accepted it and abandoned AI? Makes you wonder what would have happened to his career then. If he had been chosen at the auditions for We Will Rock You in Vegas? (Which ended up being a disaster) If he had been chosen for the role of Finn on Glee? So many "discouragements" that ended up positioning him on AI, and the rest is history. Sometimes we cannot imagine why things don't work out, but it is definitely "for the best." On the other hand, I think Adam is so exceptional that if he ever got into the spotlight in any position, he would make his mark. So maybe it is just a matter of multiple paths to the same place (which, I believe, we still haven't seen completely. We are still on the journey). Here're my scenarios:
When Brian found out that Adam actually auditioned for WWRY Vegas and he was rejected, Brian said someone's head should be rolling.. . But if Adam had been chosen for the part for WWRY, Brian & Roger would found out about Adam sooner (2004) rather than later (2009). I'd think he would ended up as the new frontman for Queen. I'm so glad though he didn't get it .. so he got to audition on AI and now he gets to make his own music and fronting Queen as a side by side project.
If he had been chosen for the role of Finn on Glee? He'd be as famous, has millions of teenage fans around the world and just like other Glee stars, he will record his own music as well.. the differences are 1) the label - Glee star instead of Idol runner up; 2) No one care when he actually came out

Nica, Love the AI recaps from TWOP. How do you get to the comments section? Please keep posting. I am loving the trip down memory lane. I didn't google Adam until late in the season so many of the pre idol stories are new to me. you go here: forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/forum/539-old-product-previous-seasons/and then look for the thread you are interested in. The SF auditions thread is on page 11, so you have to page back, they are in reverse chrono order, so just look for 2009 threads. Thanks. These threads are addicting. I'm shocked by two things. 1. People picking up on "Gay,Gay,Gay" from the beginning. I didn't even think about it one way or another. I just couldn't figure out why he hadn't been discovered before. I googled him in April and began to cry because it was obvious why he hadn't made it. The second is how early fans saw the videos. That had to have an impact. Some more quotes I found in Round 2 Adam Lambert was so channeling David Cook's approach of slowing down an iconic pop singer's song, which I enjoyed last year with Lionel Richie and Mariah Carey.
Except that Adam didn't just "invent" this to win AI. He's always done it. There's at least 3 or 4 different Youtube videos of him singing "Crazy" in as many different ways. He changes it up (a lot) to fit the venue, audience, and I suspect, whatever mood he happens to be in at that time. Even his Fiyero was known to be very different from other peoples' interpretation of that role vocally. I love what he did to What's Going On He made that song beautiful. Incidentally, that's the video where he basically announces he's gay. So in a nuthshell, he's not copying David Cook, he's just being who he's always been. Besides (and I say this as a huge Cook fan) David Cook stopped being "inventive" about halfway through the competition and just started to sing things straight after he kept getting repeatedly criticized for singing other people's arrangements of songs. I kept seeing people say Adam had David Cook hair. Aww No!
