What about the bonding, I thought it would be easier with a kitten? What if we adopt a year old cat and it doesn't like us? *sniff-sniff Cats are human loving and will bond fairly easily as a rule...unless they have been really traumatized....and that would be pretty evident pretty quickly. My current feline lover is a biggish boy I claimed after he could not get along with the apha cat in his household...who just happened t be a Serval so 3 or 4 times his size!! He was 6 years old already so took him a few weeks to acclimate but that is all...and now he is as loving and contented as any cat can possibly be. He is close to 9 now.. and I look forward to many more years of loving from him. eta...oops...I had to leave mid post to cut a clients hair...then came back to finish. I can delete if you want.....sorry someone had a Serval? As a pet? You don't mean the African wild cat right? Is it some domestic that looks like a Serval? Those babies can take down a deer! Back to Adam, he can take down many dears!

And in a totally vain attempt to keep things Adam related, I'll say that Adam would look great with a Great Dane. Can't see him with a miniature barky fluffball, and a Great Dane would definitely shed less on his nice clothes than the Goldens he grew up with. If he ever did that I might have to abandon him - I can't see Adam getting any dog right now, but if he did buy a fluffball, it would certainly be a glam fluffball that does not shed. I wonder what kind of dog Adam would pick? Adam is allergic to cats so I doubt that he will ever get a cat. One thing for sure --- this is not the kind of dog I picture Adam with..... Perhaps a bird....

We managed to outlive a goldfish, a hamster and a budgie, and each time I say no more pets. It's too sad. Mitzie the hamster died two years ago, and our beloved Tihomirka the birdie died two months ago and every time I peel a carrot or an apple, I start crying, they loved eating that. The hamster and the budgie, not the goldfish. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to lose a cat or a dog. I'd die. So, we are thinking of getting a cat (just don't say anything), but I prefer dogs, but our apartment is too small, but we can just get a really small dog, right. This is not going to end well, I just know it. Aleks...many cats live 20 years, especially if they are part or full Siamese and you keep them indoors. Heartbreaking to lose them...certainly..but even more heart hurting to never know the loving and caring they give you. There are studies showing the life extending value of a feline pet! I have had cats as pets all my adult life...only once took on a kitten...Much prefer to adopt a young adult, preferable but not necessarily around a year old. Then you know if you are adopting a more active cat [looking for a mouser?], an independent girl cat or a loving lazy boy. This topic is probably done LOL but I had to reply to this. I had THREE cats that lived to 20 years. I now have two that are 11 & 12. I can only hope that I am so fortunate again.

I think she is on twitter regularly, Stardust....
Yes, she is on Twitter. Talked with her today and she seems to be okay. She said she misses us all very much. (I don't know why she is not here though.) I know from experience that twitter can be extremely addictive. It's one of the reasons I haven't been here as much lately.
