IMHO. Chris and the other regular cast members play characters in a long running show. They are first and foremost are portrayed as talented high school and recent graduates of same, not as successful rockstars. Their characters need to stay 'in character'. Kurt's character has always been featured but not necessarily as the best vocalist, to have him suddenly be able to go toe to toe with Adam would not be believable. Not saying he could by any means, but I think part of the Kurt character is to be a bit awkward and even bit timid as opposed to Adam who is cast as the ringer. Each song furthers the story and is presented in character and context.
I would have liked to see him turned completely loose on IBIATCL but the Glee kingdom would have likely been pushed into in to toal meltdown LOL. All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Glee stint has been a total win.

That's a perfect description! oh good, I'm not the only one who describes sound as taste! All sounds have different flavours and textures and satisfy the pleasure centers of my brain the same way food does! :D (No, I don't have synesthesia, but I sort of wish I did!) Not only the taste. It is physical. To avoid the cliche of sexual comparisons, I'd describe it as a jittery state of excitation and I'm not sure if my body registers the loving vibes first and sends the memo to my brain or vice versa. But both my mind and my body are hypervigilant to Adam's voice induced stimuli.

There was a big discussion about Sam Smith on twitter last night (my feed anyway). I loved his voice when I first heard him but I'm finding it doesn't wear so well. Midway through the song it starts to sound shrill to my ears. Maybe I'm just wondering why he got a spot on snl so quickly and Adam still hasn't been on the show. I hope I'm being objective and it's not just sour grapes LOL. His voice sounds well suited for Country imo. (I'm a little late reading the thread) Not as late as I usually am! I'm loving Rockstar and I'm amazed that I do because the original is cheesy pop. I would have loved for Adam to have another song (at least) on his last episode, but I guess this one is a good send-off. SOB!

...and the confusion of having fresh snow in my yard the end of March. Just got a text on my phone a few minutes ago about a new "Winter Weather Advisory". Its almost APRIL dammit!! We're south of the Mason-Dixon line, there's NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SNOW.

www.thetoptens.com/male-singers/Adam #4 on this list.. The description of him is wonderful.. If I'm repeating this.. sorry,I haven't seen it before. The comments are amazing... Adam's voice evokes so many emotions in me, He's the soul man literally The comments are wonderful, but where is this site from? I'm reading the names of a lot of Asian singers (Indian? Chinese?) that I've never heard of before. That said, nice to see Adam with MJ, Freddie, and Elvis.

ETA: Bad edit on my part -- That should have said --
I do not think the vocal arrangement has to do with the plot, rather I think they were trying to maximizing both Chris' and Adam's strengths.Chris is an excellent vocalist with a 3.1 octave vocal range (A2-Bb5) and a nice, light, clear tone. Prior to joining the cast of Glee, he had almost no vocal training -- and I really think this counts as none: So the fact that he can hold his own in a duet with Adam is a testimony to his vocal ability. That said, there are only a few men who could sing a duet with Adam -- and not very many men would do it. While Adam was given the gift of a great instrument -- I think that he does not get enough credit for how much effort he has put into becoming a great singer.

I don't think it is from any official publication or media outlet.

Anyone can make a list -- www.thetoptens.com/addnewlist.asp -- then promote it. It gets a lot of fan promotion in Korea and China. There are no ads, so I do not understand the business model. ETA: Cassie -- I see you beat me!! Since you are hear, why does Adam sound so much better than Chris on that duet? It is more than the difference in power. Is it just that Adam has such smooth, easy transitions and more developed vocal flourishes (or whatever the proper term is for the extra vocal effects he adds)? There just sounds like there is more "data" when Adam sings.

This naturally seems appropriate for today. I just wish that the original date would be posted, too. Yes! ^^^ I wanted to retweet, but couldn't find it on their tweets for today.. glad to know I wasn't not seeing things.
