John Deacon (Queen's bass guitarist) went and hung out with Chic in 1979 and 1980. Yes with Nile Rodgers and Chic co-founder Bernard Edwards. John played with Chic in the studio and then he wrote the funk-disco song AOBTD which because a big hit in the US in 1980. Queen's rock fans hated it, I mean hated it. But it made the band a ton of money. Queen thought they were getting new fans but actually the people who liked AOBTD were not Queen fans, they just like this specific dance track. In 1982 Queen Toured the US, the tour was not close to sold out. It was their last US tour. Some blame the shift to dance music -- like AOBTD and "Body Language" for the issues. It was actually part of a bigger market shift from rock to pop that happened in the early 1980's and the emergence of hip hop that Queen, Bowie, Stones, Ledd Z., The Who and many other artists struggled with. Thanks for the information, Q3.

I took at look at some of the QAL events with seat maps on TicketMaster. The Forum and Dallas look to be almost sold out with just nose-bleeds, back of 3rd level, and a few scattered single seats elsewhere available. Michigan is also close to almost beigning sold out, but not as close as LA and Dallas.
However, the 2 NJ events just added the past week only look to be about 30%, maybe 40% at best, sold. Looks like they may need to do more advertising for the newly added events as many people may not know they have been added.

If anyone is or knows of someone looking for tickets to the QAL Auburn Hills Michigan show, I have a friend who has 2 VIP's for sale. Section A row 8 seats 5 and 6. Wants to sell to a fan before putting on broker site. How are people selling these VIP tickets? Except for the Las Vegas VIPs sold directly by The Joint venue, i.e. not through the ticket web sites, all of the VIPs that I have seen (which is not all of them) are advertised on as being non-transferable and non-resellable. Here's the disclaimer from TicketMaster at www.ticketmaster.com/queenadamlambertvip?ac_link=queenlambert14_merchslot_vip: Originally, the Merriweather venue said that they would email my VIP ticket. But then they sent a email saying: From what I understand, all of the VIP tickets are all Will Call only and have to be picked up by the purchaser with a valid ID. If anyone knows anything different than this, please let us know! I think it's venue specific. I have VIP tickets at two venues through Ticketmaster. I bought them with the ability to print them at home and when I go into my Ticketmaster account, one of the venues gives me the option to transfer them and the other venue gives me the option to either transfer or sell them. The VIP package will be sent to the address on file.

The promo for the additional shows is not very visible so far...may be I've missed stuff posted here though... I did receive a Ticketmaster e-mail for the near by venues, but I am not sure it counts for a sufficient promo...I wonder if local radio or print media are involved at all....

Will 'Rock Star' be on iTunes before the episode is aired? And didn't we get the video leaked early for other of Adam's Glee performances? I keep waiting for the video to show up!

Ticketmaster usually has the print at home option. My VIP ticket is all printed out. If I wanted to, i could sell it or give it to anyone I want. The shirt, would still go to my address though. The venue is Forum
