I don't think this is any kind of clue. The 2 pics together are a fan edit that he just liked. I think it is just a night look and a day look. Or he is working day and night, as belle suggested. Adam rarely does the same "artistic thing" twice. Intense forward motion! Perhaps it is just my mashed potatoes.  Yes, it was a fan edit but certainly not the only one of those pictures. And Adam picked that one, added those words and Tweeted it. He does not do very many things* involving his personal brand that are not thoughtful. * Lately he has done nothing that appears to be on the fly about A3 except that comment about those 90's platforms -- and that photography is related to the new era. *** He has done dark-light (BTIKM video) -- but not night-day. Two different things. [At least I do not think he has explicitly done night-day.] And although he rarely does the same interpretation twice -- he has some consistent themes running through his work -- some go back to 2005. He does interlace themes and certainly has involved a lot. |

Interesting that Adam has spent so much time in Stockholm. I wonder if the whole album will be written, produced and recorded there. Is that likely? Would a label let him do that? Makes me wonder about what kind of deal he has. Yes, it is possible the entire album is being done in Stockholm. Yes, the whole album could be written, produced and recorded there. Many of the very best albums have been done this way. What kind deal would let him work on his album in Stockholm with Max Martin for 2 months? A very, very good deal. *** And looks to me Adam has the three things I think he most needs to create a really good album -- time, very talented people to collaborate with, and MOST IMPORTANT it appears he has support for HIS vision -- management who know what they are doing and seem to understand him (DMG and whatever label was lucky enough to sign him). My one take away from yesterday's tweets was that he is happy! And happily working. I really do not want any leaks, I just want a clean single and album release. But soooooooooooooooooooon! Me, too, but I would prefer to think he had some demos in his pocket before Sweden because I don't want to see a rushed project. Perhaps some post-release anecdotes will clear up the mysteries of when and where. We will have to wait and see.

I've just had a feeling he (and his team) may want to have it completely finished before he starts his work with Queen. It seems it would be hard to switch his concentration back and forth from one project to another, because they both require intense focus. It would seem to be a relief to be able to start rehearsals with Queen knowing his work is finished on the album, just as he was able to be finished with Glee and move on to Stockholm. (I have not one fact to base this on - just a feeling.) |

I wish I had answers to the Mars retrograde question ( mys*&@^#r page 2) and the Stockholm question ( stardust above). I did learn that retrograde is also called the synodic cycle and occurs as Mars approaches alignment/aligns/then departs alignment. For Mars it occurs every 730 days and the current retrograde period is from March 1 - May 19 and this cycle is in Libra. What that means, I have f**king idea. There is a big difference between the way a retrograde planet is looked at in Western astrology and in older systems (Vedic) The "true" planets (ME, VE, MA, JU and SA) have a retrograde/combustion cycle which has to do with the geometry of where they are relative to the earth and the sun. Retrogression (the apparent motion backwards of a planet) is an artifact of observation. When the earth is moving faster than Mars and catches up to it, it is like a fast moving train catches up to a slower one. The slower one seems to be standing still and then moving backward. Of course it is not, but it looks that way. Western astrology emphasizes that backward motion rather than the fact that when this occurs, the two trains are very very close to each other. That is a key concept. When Mars is retrograde, it is CLOSEST to the earth than it will be at anytime. You can see it in the sky. It is bright. By the way, Saturn is also retrograde. Anyway, because it is close and bright, whatever Mars represents in a person's chart may manifest more for better or for worse depending on a confluence of other factors. No astronomical/astrological event is going to be true for everyone. That is just plain silly. Not everyone has computer problems if Mercury is retrograde! If Mars (or Saturn) is a key player in a chart (complicated to explain what I mean by that) and is retrograde, it could be very potent. Both retrograde Saturn and Mars are big players at the moment for Adam. The retrograde cycle for Mars was the last to be discovered. It has an incredibly irregular orbit. We can't give it even the interval that was listed above. It usually is retrograde around 45 days but it can last for six months! |

Evergreen -- I have the same impression -- Adam's management is working to make sure he focuses on this album and nothing else -- after Glee, before Queen.

The Adamtopia II (this forum) traffic peak was actually not the leak of BTIKM -- the demo was leaked in late November. On December 9, 2011, the web was filled with rumors about Adam's single and the bizarre release date.
Toby Knapp a DJ from Hot 99.5 (DC metro) promised info on Adam's new single release date. That was the day RCA was supposed to issue a press release but did not. Instead at 4:52PM Toby released this...
It was a combination of Toby's typo in his online post -- and all the rumors -- and fans trying to find the event.
But the 12.18.11 event was the Amway Event in Shanghai China. So the reality was much more drab than Toby's leak -- RCA wanted to have a single release that did not cost much money and relied on online buzz.

In retrospect we now know that that is when things were falling apart with RCA and Adam by this time and they had already decided to have him record the second single -- and add that to the album.

this is completely out of the left field but as it's slow anyway: I was looking at the ATOP home page and the " Most Users On-line" stat caught my eye. We had 840 users on Dec. 9th, 2011 at 4:46 pm. I assumed it was due to QAL news and decided to check. The thread from that day/time: adamtopia.com/thread/597/12-adam-own-frontman-date?page=12As it happens the "rumor" for QAL started on Dec 8th. But on Dec. 9th Adam tweeted the famous " I'm my OWN frontman. maybe an special occasion guest, sure, but #Trespassing is my next big obsession." tweet. There was also a talk re BTIKM release date. And then close to the 4:46pm time there were reports of some shooting in LA... I wonder which one of these events caused the record number of users on the forum.... Or was it something else? I also wonder what would it take to top that? I assume we have more members now... I was quite sure that the 840 "most users on the line" was when MTV EMA -2011 was televised. I've been waiting what is the next big event, so that figure would be exceeded. But now I'm confused because the dates do not match! EMA was 6 November, not December 9. Heck, I have been wrong more than two and a half years  ! |
