I can't speak for Q3 but, from my POV, Glenn's OUT interview comment was atrocious.
I was NEVER upset about the Rolling Stone interview. it's easy to be forgetful.
Glenn's comment in OUT suggests that he DOESN"T see Adam as the openly gay artist to balance out straight, pro-gay artists Macklemore & Lewis:
"But the first issue he wants to address is Adam Lambert, whom he failed to mention in the Rolling Stone interview when he complained the industry didn’t have an out musician to balance out the success of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. “I didn't want him to think I was leaving him out. I'll use Out.com to say that I enjoy him,” Glenn says."
Not "he certainly played a role or paved the way" but "I enjoy him". It would have been better if he had said nothing.
Agree that it's not a good idea to spam them with angry posts so I'm not going to.
Totally agree with you Flowers! I agree with Q3 .. poor editing.. Some Fans will notice ,I doubt anyone else will. To me, the quote was incomplete. I love Adam beyond belief and I wasn't particularly offended. Not unusual for some periodicals to use Adam's name to get hits.. Not nice but not unusual.

I love Adam beyond belief and I wasn't particularly offended. To me it is only tangentially about Adam. If I was focussed on Adam, I would have been upset by the Rolling Stone article, which some fans were. IMHO, the LGBTQ community is still having a good gay/bad gay image debate and some of Adam's image issues (e.g. OUT magazine the first time around and the Miami article last year) come from being on the wrong side of that equation.
We are only a couple of years away from marriage equality and heading towards a post-gay world. Mostly we see progress as strictly a matter for the straight community. This article is a reminder that the LGBTQ community still has some growing to do.

Talon's Take:
Funny How Love Is
Written by: Freddie Mercury
Musicians: Freddie Mercury - lead and backing vocals, piano Brian May - acoustic and electric guitars, backing vocals John Deacon - bass guitar Roger Taylor - drums, backing vocals
- The band received production help from Robin Geoffrey Cable in order to try to achieve the Phil Spector "Wall-Of-Sound" feel for the track.
- The end of the medley as it were as it segues abruptly in from March Of The Black Queen but fades out on it's own before the final song of the album, Seven Seas Of Rhye
- This song was never performed live.
ALTERNATIVE RELEASED VERSIONS:
DIGITAL MASTER SAMPLER EDIT
- NOT essential listening.
- In 1994 EMI in the UK released a promotional compilation called the Digital Master Sampler featuring non-greatest hits tracks. It featured a standalone version of this track with the segues faded in.
Japanese CD Single Version
UK CD Single Version
- NOT essential listening.
- In 1988 the track was put on the B-Side of a Seven Seas Of Rhye CD Single release in Japan and the UK.
- Different standalone type edits.
UNRELEASED VERSIONS:
TAKES 3-5
- NOT essential listening
- From a Queen convention so it has the usual Greg Brooks voice-overs. It is basically Queen constructing a backing track.
UNRELEASED AND UNHEARD:
ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS CASSETTE TAPE MIX
- I have no idea what this is but it exists according to famed Queen scholar John S. Stuart.
PERSONAL NOTES:
- A fun pop song. The closest to pure pop on the album. Unfortunately it is a bit underwhelming if you compare it to the rest of the album but it shouldn't dismiss the success of the wall of sound it achieves.
Funny How Love Is......0% - No chance. It's a Freddie song a bit out of Brian's real wheelhouse. I just don't think it would ever cross his mind to touch this one.

For me, the important thing is Tyler Glenn is out there speaking and I find much of what he's had to say thought-provoking and impactful.
It is true that neither Adam nor any other(?) out pop star has had a big hit directly addressing homosexuality and that Macklemore has.
(The "I enjoy him'" added at the end of the interview indeed seems less than super-enthusiastic, but - I agree with others - who knows how it went down in context?)

We have NO idea if this was Glenn's complete statement. What i do know is that this is OUT magazine, Aaron Hicklin's magazine. I know he likes to poke both Adam and the Glamberts. I don't trust him one bit! So, I am suspicious of Hicklin, not Glenn!
