Adam Lambert fans in state of excitement over new album!
April 7th, 2014 by Martin Lamont.
Adam Lambert has caused excitement among Glamberts worldwide last weekend, when he tweeted a fan and admitted that he’s still working hard on his third album. The record that you’re all so desperate to hear!
We’ve no clue when it’s coming, what’s going to be on it, or what it’s going to be called but what we do know is it’ll be a hit with all Adam Lambert fans across the world. We also suspect a summer release date, after all what better time to drop a record than when he’s touring with British legends Queen?
When talking to fans about the album, Adam has been very secretive and rightly so, he obviously doesn’t want to give too much away.
Over the weekend one of his Glamberts tweeted himsimply with: “busy with album?” and Adam repliedwith: “yes. Very. ”
What we do know about the album is that it’s the follow-up to 2012′s ‘Trespassing’ and that Adam is currently working in a studio in Sweden.
Various people have spoken about the album though including fellow singerTove Lo and a producer who claims the album is set to be an “exciting one”.
That’s about it though for now but as soon as we have more news, you know we’ll share it. So check back.
Elsewhere in the world of Adam Lambert the tour with Queen is fast approaching and it continues to grow – though not into Europe and the UK.

Did Tyler Glenn stick his foot in his ____ one more time?
Or OUT did another crappy edit!
4.8.14 by Q3
I go with the latter!
I think that is another terrible edit by OUT Magazine – and I think it was not intentional – just poorly edited.
The position in the article is not a sensible way for an interview to go. So I will add it to my list of 1,000 reasons not to think OUT is a real Magazine with a real editor.
And they did put Adam in the headline.
That said, please do not spam with article with pro-Adam posts. It will do him no good at all. JMHO and my advice.
Here are the two Adam mentions so you don’t need to give this article any clicks!
Now That Tyler Glenn Is Out, He's Finally Loosening Up

The Neon Trees front man opens up about coming out, dating apps and Adam Lambert
…
While he doesn’t feel pressured to take a stance on certain gay rights, it’s something he wants to eventually do. “I do want to choose, at the appropriate times, to be a public supporter of LGBT issues,” he says knowing that there’s still ground to be covered when it comes to changing the perception of the Mormon Church. “I feel like I do have a fresh perspective.”
But the first issue he wants to address is Adam Lambert, whom he failed to mention in the Rolling Stone interview when he complained the industry didn’t have an out musician to balance out the success of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
“I didn't want him to think I was leaving him out. I'll use Out.com to say that I enjoy him,” Glenn says.

The 2014 "Part-of-the-World" Queen + Adam Lambert Tour Countdown!
4.8.14 by Q3
The countdown moves on and the start of this epic tour gets closer. Only 72 days to go!
#72 is another track from Queen II Side Black (Freddie's side of the album).
#72 “Funny How Love Is” (1974)
Written Freddie Mercury.
Released on Queen II on March 8, 1974.
Track 5 on the Black Side (Side Two)
"Funny How Love Is" was created in the studio but it is built from real performances -- and we have some of the studio takes. Mercury wrote it and played the piano. Robin Cable produced the track using the "wall of sound" technique, music production formula for pop and rock music recordings developed by record producer Phil Spector in the early 1960’s. [Robin Cable was the Trident Studios’ house engineer who also produced the Larry Lurex tracks. More info at #87 on the countdown.] Queen never performed this song live, reportedly due to the demanding high-register vocals from Mercury throughout the song.
"The March of the Black Queen" segues into the next track, "Funny How Love Is". Black Queen ends with an ascending note progression, which climaxes in the first second of "Funny How Love Is". It is one more reminder that Queen, and Freddie in particular, planned the album track sequence very carefully and often composed songs so that they were sonically interwoven.
Queen II was not critically acclaimed when it was released and it was not a huge hit. Queen would break through with their next studio album, Sheer Heart Attack. In fact, some of the reviews were devasting! Record Mirror wrote, "This is it, the dregs of glam rock. Weak and over-produced, if this band are our brightest hope for the future, then we are committing rock and roll suicide." Robert Christgau, in Creem magazine, referred to that album as "wimpoid royaloid heavyoid android void."
Rolling Stone was alse not kind in their review of Queen II, and particularly disliked Side Black. On June 20, 1974, Ken Barnes wrote, "On "Side Black," they venture into a lyrically muddled fairy-tale world with none of Genesis's wit or sophistication. They've also appropriated the most irritating elements of Yes's style — histrionic vocals, abrupt and pointless compositional complexity, and a dearth of melody.

I did not understand that Rolling Stone review at the time, I understand it less now. Granted Queen II is a challenging album and there is probably too many ideas resulting in a lot of complexity. But with Queen, more is usually more, and at least there ogres fought battles.
And of all the tracks on the Black Side, the one the critics really disliked was "Funny How Love Is." Even in a more modern review from 2010 review, All Music wrote: "The one thing that is missing [from Queen II] is any semblance of a pop sensibility, even when they flirt with a mock Phil Spector production on "Funny How Love Is." This hits like heavy metal but has an art-rock sensibility through and through, which also means that it has no true hook in for those who don't want to succumb to Queen's world."

In 2011, Pitchfork reviewed the reissue of Queen II. The review was good, with particular compliments for Freddie's Black Side, "... Mercury's "Side Black" was the masterstroke, and the first real evidence of the double-decker Fabergé egg that would become Queen's career on record." But even with this revisionist view of this album, "Funny How Love Is" did not even warrant a mention. Here is the full review: pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/15221-reissues/
Imagine if…..
Here is the finished track without the lead vocals – I can just hear Adam singing this!
youtu.be/n3q6kBtsVZw
This song is on my list because Adam can do it justice. It is a rock song with the kind of repetition that is found in pop tracks but without a pop-hook. [Adam wrote a couple songs like this on Trespassing.] It requires a vocalist who can use dynamics to make a song interesting. And it requires a vocalist with power and the ability to hit these notes. Adam is one of only a handful of male pop vocalists who could actually sing a song in this register in an arena and still command enough power to fill the place.
Yes there are all kinds of rational reasons for Adam to sing this. But I have one more reason. Check out the first two lines of the second verse!
Funny how love is can break your heart so suddenly
Funny how love came tumbling down with ADAM and eve
His name is in the song!
My message to Brian, Roger and Adam: You promised a surprise! So why not perform a track from Queen II that you never performed live? Can’t you just hear how great it would sound? I can!
I have been very patient and waited for 40 YEARS! to hear this live by Queen!
And seriously, his name is really written on this song!!

"Funny How Love Is"
Funny how love is everywhere just look and see
Funny how love is anywhere you're bound to be
Funny how love is every song in every key
Funny how love is coming home in time for tea
Funny, funny, funny
Funny how love is the end of lies when the truth begins
Tomorrow comes tomorrow beings
Tomorrow brings love in the shape of things
That's what love is, that's what love is
Funny how love is can break your heart so suddenly
Funny how love came tumbling down with adam and eve
Funny how love is running wild and feeling free
Funny how live is coming home in time for tea
Funny, funny, funny
From the earth below to the heavens above
That's how far and funny is love
At any time, anywhere
If you gotta make love do it everywhere
That's what love is, that's what love is
Funny how love is everywhere just look and see

Tomorrow brings love in the shape of things
At any time, anywhere
If you gotta make love do it everywhere
That's what love is, that's what love is
