Do Adam Lambert and Katy Perry drink water from the same source? Is there something in the water? What other explanation is there for why two people decided to dye their hair green in the same week? I honestly can't think of any. Oh, maybe because it looks good? That could be it.

Adam Lambert debuted his new 'do on Instagram, captioning the photo "Green hair don't care." I think you do care, Adam. I'd care if I could pull off green hair. Adam really went for it, even dyeing the closely shaved sides of his head. While it's hard to tell what shade of green his hair actually is (thanks, Instagram filters), it looks like it's a pretty dark shade.

We experienced the same Instagram issue with Katy Perry last week when she introduced us to her green hair. While she was calling it "Slime green," her filter choice really washed it out. Luckily, when she showed up to an event later that night, we were able to see how vibrant it really is. Unlike Adam, Katy didn't dye all of her hair, opting instead to leave her roots and new-ish bangs totally dark. The roots keep us from thinking she's a natural greenhead. JK, her natural hair color is blue. Duh.

Two stars. Two heads of green hair. Whose new hair do you prefer: Adam Lambert's or Katy Perry's?

Is there anyone more stylish or more glam than Adam Lambert?

The singer and ‘American Idol‘ alum has changed his look. Lambert, known for his jet black, inky coif, has ditched his usual hair hue in favor of a more spring-like shade. He has gone green, copying off Katy Perry, who is also known having pitch-black strands.

Lambert has gone blond in the past and he has even showed off a silvery style, but for the most part, he rocks jet black and looks amazeballs while doing it. Black is his familiar follicle color.

He captioned the snap effectively: “Green Hair Don’t Care.”

While green hair would have been beyond appropriate for St. Patrick’s Day last month, it’s also a perfect color for the rich, lush, green shrubbery that is starting to pop up on trees given the warmer weather!

With the shaved sides and full, thick, faux hawk-like top, Lambert’s minty and glossy hair hue is fab, but then again, when doesn’t he go the fab route?

The green coif is paired with squared off, fashion-forward aviators and some five o’clock shadow. It’s a glam rock combo.

Since he is usually incredibly dark with his ‘do, he may have had to undergo several procedures to strip his hair of the black dye and get it to a light base, so that he could have the green shade he wanted. It’s super duper fresh and let’s hope that his salon and colorists used plenty of deep conditioner to prevent breakage, since this sort of transformation is totally damaging to strands.

Queen performed "Jailhouse Rock" around 500 times in concert from 1970 through 1985.
A studio version may have recorded during sessions for the debut Queen album, but this remains unconfirmed.

“Jailhouse Rock” was one of Queen's favorite songs to perform live and was played during almost every tour between 1970 and 1985, often as part of the “Rock 'N' Roll Medley.” Overall, “Jailhouse Rock” is Queen’s 7th most frequently performed song. 

I would love to see Queen perform either “Jailhouse Rock” or the “Rock ‘N” Roll Medley again. It would make this Queen + Adam Lambert tour like a real Queen show. And, I have been waiting, waiting, waiting to hear Adam cover an Elvis song. And while “Jailhouse Rock” is not the top of my list of Elvis songs I really want Adam to cover, it is the Elvis song that Queen played for over 15 years and goes back to the pre-Queen days.

Elvis and “Jailhouse Rock”

The title track performance of Jailhouse Rock was the highlight of Presley's third film. The movie premiered on October 21, 1957, the same day the title track went to the top of the Billboard charts, where it remained for seven weeks. Penned by the team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller (who also composed the enormously successful "Hound Dog," originally recorded by Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton), the song resonated beyond the U.S., becoming the first record ever to enter the British singles chart at Number One. Presley's charisma shined on the recording, and the song's two-chord riff is among rock's most indelible moments.
