It is the same note he hits every time on Fever, but it is astounding every time. And in this version he sustains it for a loooong time, too. Love it! As for the performance, it had me laughing. Adam is so naturally sexy and provocative on stage, especially on songs like Fever, and here he is playing for a 16 year old's birthday party with the parents in attendance. He is obviously dialing back the sexy, and it feels slightly awkward and stiff. I noticed that on the instagram snippets yesterday night, too. Our boy has to work hard NOT to be sex on legs. It probably takes more concentration than singing that high note. Both are natural for him, so suppressing one is difficult. |

I should have clarified that it just seemed so to me, having seen Adam slink and sleeze thru that number on numerous YT performances. What he did was perfect for a sweet 16 party, with plenty of PG hotness to thrill anyone. He's a performer. That's what he does. Adapts to the audience. Forgive if it seemed a criticism. |
