I don't know what this is.. Kayla styles♡ @kaylavazquez07 23m @horner_ivy8 today our moms leave to Montana to go meet freaking Bruno Mars and Adam lambert without us! this must be the gig cancelled earlier this year...Q3 did say it was supposed to be in Montana and she did say he is doing it this weekend. Ok, thanks, Nica! I missed that, for some reason I thought she said Toronto, but can't find the post anymore, and it's not important. Hopefully we get new pics and videos from this event.

Just took a peek at the Numbers Thread - something I haven't checked for ages. It seems to be at the same place as when I last checked :D and also . I never thought I'd be so focused on how a song is doing halfway around the world but I am. Loving the updates but SO wanting something to happen in the US. Question - many fans seem to think releasing LMD here could interfere with his first single from new album. I'm not sure that's true. Surely there have been other artists with more than on song on the radio at the same time? Perfect example is Aloe Blacc. WMU is still pretty strong but radio is also playing The Man. This seems to be the perfect analogy with Adam and LMD & new single. No? Yes, that would be my plan, overlapping time periods for max impact. That's how Aloe made it. Let LMD burn the radio getting listeners familiar with the voice in preparation for Adam's music to follow. It would be great if LMD did its job during the summer when Adam is touring, then his own single using LMD airplay as a selling point before fully committing to promo. If Avicii will be releasing ATY next as is rumoured instead of LMD then the plan needs to be revised. It makes no sense to compete with his own song because if both LMD and Adam single were to be released at the same time, who do you think would get more adds off the bat? Sure it depends on the song but I think it's not sensible to go with another uptempo which is what many of us wanted in hindsight for Trespassing. He'd have to go with a slow one at least or change the schedule postponing his single. I have no idea which one would be better because that depends on the album material but I doubt it will be full of angsty break-up ballads, so a slow one might not be representative of the album. And I really don't think putting a single out now with no time for promo would be a good strategy, do you?

A music awards show based on sales is like having a food awards show where the Michelin chefs watch McDonald's win every year.

A music awards show based on sales is like having a food awards show where the Michelin chefs watch McDonald's win every year. A brilliant voice in the wilderness of cyberspace Greg...... anybody listening.....in the midst of those "plastic bags" floating on the airwaves, clogging up the ear drums for, rappy "unsubtle" sex talk,--- hippy hop can't make the words out--- getting the big bang for the buck. What Greg says makes total sense to me but in the real world....it is a double edge sword. The millions who will not gravitate to a Grammy show because if an Esperanza Spalding is announced as the headliner...ahhhh...like who is she??? Well I must say it opened my ears to her, but I was not checking in to see her, nor have I since. TV stations need the sponsors, who in turn want the largest audience draws. No accounting for taste...it is all so personal. My nephews have gone to New York to hear JayZ, Eminem in concert; I go to see Adam Lambert in London. Grammy awards etc should go out those who have a great song and a great voice. The recording studios can make anyone sound good. A true artist can sing it live as well as, if not better, than the record. No way should it go to lyp synch queens or those who cannot handle singing live. But it goes by the record not the live version. However, right now I am enjoying listening to the radio, there is a lot of appealing music and I enjoy my ride in the car as it plays..."Closer" yah yah yah....I just switch the station when the "McDonald's" cheap, ridiculous, bizarre, in your face nasty, pours out of the speaker.

That's a bad analogy... if music sells a lot then it's cause a lot of people like it, McDonald's sells a lot cause it's a cheap and fast alternative. It's not like 2 million people bought the 20-20 Experience as an alternative to anything.

I'm not an expert (I think myspenser knows much more about the rollout of new music, etc) but I'm hoping for & expecting massive promo! The other thing that I don't necessarily agree with is the idea that LMD is Avicii's song and therefore will do nothing for Adam. That has been disproven by Aloe Blacc. And it seems many radio stations in Oz, etc that are playing LMD are mentioning Adam too. And a big fat NO to angsty break-up songs.

But The R in Grammy stands for recording. While I don't agree with all their choices, I do get the recorded part. What I don't get is that lately sales have been important for the nominations. And that should not be a factor. Sales is what the BB awards are for! Grammy should be excellence in the recorded music and/or vocals.

some singers have always resonated with me - one prior to Adam was Jim Morrison and I thought this was a quote that could reference Adam, too.
"But songs are special. I find that music liberates my imagination. When I sing my songs in public, that's a dramatic act, not just acting as in theater, but a social act, real action." - Jim Morrison in 1968

Here is where LMD is on the iTunes Top 400 worldwide! Lay Me Down #48 Australia #90 France #175 New Zealand #305 Ukraine And now it is up to #149 on NZ Chart! No idea what's going on, LMD not released here yet so no radio play and we don't have the Lipton tea ad either! But Avicii is doing well here and LMD is featured on our iTunes "songs to watch" so maybe that's all it is? IDK but bodes well for when it IS released here! Fingers crossed for Monday.... Can't wait to hear it on our airwaves!!! .. 2days away for us!
