So Shoshanna didn't know about it.
What gives me headache is her tweet about artists earning money elsewhere, not from music. I get that, but if the awards shows and radio play are based on sales, purchasing shouldn't be discouraged. In this case generally speaking, since it is a best hits compilation independent from Adam, but nevertheless.

A compilation of sort is like a retrospective display of his past work, different sides of it including the biggest hits that are familiar but usually also some deeper cuts that showcase versatility. It's easy to make a decision to buy when you haven't done extensive reseach, only just know that you liked some songs you've heard, forgot to learn more at the time but would like to know a bit more, out of curiosity etc. - a safe choice in a way. And I do think they'll include a track or two that'll make fans to buy too - it's business. But much better this way, released earlier than A3, I think.
