I was also surprised at all the talking during Adam's set at that private party. Are those people crazy. To have Adam in the same room singing - how could they even speak out loud? I know I kept yelling "shut up" through the videos we did get. I am truly grateful for the videos but I wish the background conversations were not there.

I found the sweet sixteen party to be much more joyful all around. ITA! Also, what I love most about this community (Atop) is that everyone shares what they have so that those who are not able to see Adam live at least can see the videos, pics, etc that are put up here. Obviously the guy with the WM video is not of a like mind. This is the greatest place for Adam fans! |

I found the sweet sixteen party to be much more joyful all around. While both parties were for birthday gals who are ardent Adam fans, the rest of the party-goers were quite different. I would imagine that teenagers who are not actively Adam fans, would still think he was way cool and sexy and would enjoy the music. They would dance and shake their booties and participate with Adam. The party-goers for the more senior Adam fan who are not Adam fans might not have experienced the freedom and liberation we Glamberts have, with our sometimes rediscovered inner child getting caught up in the music. Some may have been too stodgy and too conditioned not to let go and be swept away. "What will other people think if they see me acting wild and whooping it up? I need to 'act my age.'" Yeah, we Glamberts rejected that script when we embraced Adam. Others have not had the reawakening we have. So they sip their drinks and make polite small talk while that pop celebrity sings in the background. Their loss. |
