Yes. And Runnin' is much, MUCH better song than NCOE! :( It raises my blood pressure to think about it. Runnin' is much more interesting lyrically, melodically, structurally, and vocally. Hands down! I know we love Adam for his "no filters" honesty, but, he was spouting a line of company crap when he talked about how he HAD to have NCOE on the album, and how excited he was about it. I know he didn't have a choice. I know he was doing his best to sell the song. And, I know that Adam can sling the BS with the best of them, with a smile and with the greatest of sincerity on his face. So much for our worry that the boy might not be a good actor. He was acting for many months about RCA. Something else to read about in his autobiography if I am still on earth to read it some day. Well said Cassie! |

Good morning! I finally have time to be back on the thread. My precious newborn Granddaughter is coming home from the hospitaal today! Love all the the Adam 'goodies' being posted here that I missed. Really hope he is not on Island. Another label undergoing reorganization, as RCA was during the Trespassing mess! I think posting One has more to do with the track listing on the Best Of CD and nothing to do with U2 being on Island! Still hoping for LAVA! I do think "Storm" means something & I also believe Danielle knows exactly what that IG meant! I would be surprised if Adam was signed to Island but it seems possible. They are actually not going through with the planned consolidation of operations at IDJMG and the three label heads are staying. Motown will be most affected because that unit will now report up thru Capital, LA, instead of IDJMG. But the same people will be running the labels now as before Lucian removed Barry Weiss from the picture. Adam played a gardener and he was 16 years old at the time, which fits with the picture. Here is the post from 4sMsrmyn's archive: link================ Mys*&@^#r, I am with you with LAVA, just those recent maybe-clues from yesterday did not fit that theory. Whoever has signed Adam now, is doing it with a full understanding of who he is as an artist and what his present market/fanbase is and what his potential is, and must do so with a business plan in mind. They signed him, because as a label (group of people deciding) they saw the potential. So, I don't think that the ongoing split would be quite so much of a problem, as the new management ended up being over at RCA, where the new team, imo had no artistic understanding for him, whatsoever. Furthermore, Island and many others sit under the bigger umbrella (UMG), and when I look at any company from the outside I first look whether they make strategically and organizationally sense to me, especially, whether the strategic changes over time, make sense to me. I get UMG's strucuture. Sony/RCA, not so much. It's like 21st century - meet 20st century imo. Could give you a laundry list of reasons why I think that...but that would be a bit too OT for here. The Island - Def Jam split, is exactly that - a split, it is not a complete reorganization. Very different situation. I still think that LAVA probably fits the best, but I do disagree that if it is Island, he is joining the next reorg. Just not the case. He would be valued there for who he is as an artist. =================== |

Brad "Cheeks" wrote a blog about being an Indigo child and attracting other Indigo children. I believe around May 2011 based on some tweets I found. Does anyone have it?
