DSMN has such I beautiful piano intro that it started me thinking about how I can recognize Freddie on piano. I know that Freddie did not think highly of his own piano playing. I find it very pleasant and it works well for his songs and with his voice. I have read references to it being unique but my piano skill are limited to "schoolgirl" lessons. I can hear a difference when he plays these songs vs. covers. Can someone who knows music, explain why it sounds different? Here is a YT compilation of some of his piano solos.... youtu.be/oMV_5ye5al0Me too! I was shocked that "One" charted so high. I think we are both remembering the reaction to the live performances. Adam's Top 3 Live Performances were not that well reviewed by fans (as I recall) because "Cryin'" was not his best (on a Lambert scale) and the sound mix on "One" was awful (loud, out of timing Back Up singers). I think it was a let down after WWF and Slow Ride on the Top 4. WhatNotToSing is down right now, but I will pull the ratings on the Adam performances and post them when they return.
