Who wore it betterer:
(I didn't realize that the dl of Adam's skirt was attached to another photo)
btw, I thought Jared's performance last night was great. Except for the Adam parts, I liked Jared and Shakira.

While I'm sitting down for the first time this week (almost), the Best of AFL album track choices seem so odd to me. "One"?!? That was one of his least purchased and listened to of all his AI performances, wasn't it? We have no idea what happened during Idol -- but after Idol the iTunes sales were opened up. So we know what happened after the Finale. >> Looks like these are the 3 top sellers from Idol. 3 Adam tracks charted on the BB Hot 100 after the Idol final -- "One" was one of those tracks. So it sold. "Mad World" #19 [performed 2 time including the Final] "A Change Is Gonna Come" #56 [Final performance]"One" #82 [1 week before the Final, so probably outsold CIGC in total]Top 40 songs on iTunes from Idols 5.26.09 1 - Kris Allen - No Boundaries 4 - Kris Allen - Heartless 6 - Adam Lambert - Mad World
7 - David Cook - Permanent 10 - Kris Allen - Ain't No Sunshine 12 - Adam Lambert - Change Is Gonna Come
15 - Adam Lambert - No Boundaries
17 - Kris Allen - Ain't No Sunshine (Studio Version) 22 - David Cook - Permanent (Charity Version) 26 - Adam Lambert - Mad World (Studio Version)
31 - Kris Allen - Apologize (Studio Version) 34 - Adam Lambert - Change Is Gonna Come (Studio Version)
35 - Kris Allen - Ain't No Sunshine (Studio Version) ...there must be multiple albums 38 - Kelly Clarkson - I Do Not Hook Up 39 - Carrie Underwood - Home Sweet Home 40 - Kris Allen - What's Going On My thought is that they picked three Idol performances -- Mad World (clearly most popular), TOMT (probably a top seller, but early in the season, and a great studio recording) and One (a top seller -- maybe #4 of the season). "A Change Is Gonna Come" and "No Boundaries" we finale performances so it makes sense they were big sellers in late May. But the sales of "Mad World" must have been really quite high in total.

I loved Arcade Fire and Pharrell Williams. I also thought Ed Sheeran was good. Shakira was good, but pretty much the same as her The Voice performance.

I usually think Brian is right about music but this is one song that I would love performed with a whole lot less guitar.
This works best as written, with the piano (keys would work fine) as the instrumental melody. It is a mid-tempo, dramatic pop ballad. Exactly in Adam's wheelhouse.
In London the July 11 and July 14 performances were just f'ed up by Brian being off a bit in this song. But all of the QAL performances had way too much guitar on them for my taste.
I will not be surprised if this song is included on the QAL NA set list -- it seems like a logical inclusion to me. I will be pleasantly surprised and shocked if Brian just plays his solo and falls back to supporting rhythm guitar for the rest. (Not happening, but he is Brian May and I will allow him to be "stupid" just this once!)
**
We had a discussion a couple days ago about Adam flying during the concert (like Gaga is flying in ArtRave).
If he was going to have a flying suit, this is the song he should fly to!
I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky
Like a tiger defying the laws of gravity
I'm a racing car passing by like Lady Godiva
I'm gonna go go go
There's no stopping me
I'm burnin' through the sky yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic man out of you
Yeah, I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars
On a collision course
I am a satellite I'm out of control
I am a sex machine ready to reload
Like an atom bomb about to
Oh oh oh oh oh explode
I'm burnin' through the sky yeah
Two hundred degrees
That's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit
I'm trav'ling at the speed of light
I wanna make a supersonic woman of you
And I swear on 7.12.12 Adam sang the lyrics as...
Like an ADAM bomb about to
Oh oh oh oh oh explode
Probably my hearing/brain was impaired because I was about 3 feet away from him during that song!

www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2014/05/02/menswear-red-carpet-roundup-19/02.05.14 MENSWEAR, PREMIERE Menswear Red Carpet Roundup
Here is a quick menswear roundup. Adam Levine: The musician joined Keira Knightley on Saturday (April 26) for the premiere of ‘Being Again’. Looking very dapper Adam wore a Prada Uomo navy two-button suit with a white dress shirt and striped tie. David Gandy: There aren’t many word of the devilishly handsome model who joined a host of starlets on the red carpet for the Fendi store opening in London on Thursday (May 1). Just a swift beating of the beats and silent admiration that one so handsome can always look so well put together. Adam Lambert: Colourwise, Adam left both Adam Levine and David Gandy in the shade, standing out on the red carpet at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Awards wearing a green suit. My only wish for this look is that it fitted better. Love the styling however.

tomandlorenzo.com/2014/05/adam-lambert-in-kris-van-assche-at-the-2014-iheartradio-music-awards/ADAM LAMBERT IN KRIS VAN ASSCHE AT THE 2014 IHEARTRADIO MUSIC AWARDSPosted on May 02, 2014 Aw, Adam, You didn’t stick the dismount. This totally works as a declarative, “Here’s my look, world” moment. It both is and isn’t what you’d expect him to look like for this event, making it something of an intriguing head-turn of an ensemble. Love the hair, the shoes and the cut of the suit – for Adam Lambert, if not particularly for ourselves. It’s the right style for him and more importantly, it’s a perfect example of someone taking their personal style and upscaling it for the red carpet. The problem? It just doesn’t fit correctly. We realize the proportions on that suit are deliberately off, but it’s definitely not supposed to be pulling like that in the jacket. Get that shirt collar standing up and let that jacket out an inch and this would easily be a BoyWERQ. As it is, it’s a strong “Attaboy.” We love the look, if not the execution.

I can't disagree. No-one's perfect but I could see an argument that it *ALMOST* seemed petty that Brian used his guitar to start off the song w/QAL considering Freddie had always wanted it purely piano. Bri, it's okay. You are a god at guitar and we know it. At the end of the day though I'm just glad to get the song played!
