I agree AI Finale QAL performance would be a great chance to tell a special AI story. Also that part of the rehearsals for QAL may take place in the US, especially for the stage choreo and tech aspects. But I'm in doubt that Brian would fly over for AI and fly back the next day. He has an appearance scheduled on May 23, talking about the Diableries. Idol finale is at 5/21. The event is in the evening on the 23rd. www.diableries.co.uk/2014/04/brian-may-takes-diableries-to-hay-festival/It would not be that big a deal to get from LA May 22 to be back for this book event. It is around 11 hours from LA to London with many non-stop options. It is an overnight flight so pretty easy -- specially in first class. I just doubt they would come over for it unrelated to any other schedules. **** Whatever else, it is not happening. I just would be cool. Also, Idol tapes West Coast time. Over by 7 here! Plenty of time to catch. Night flight. I don't think it is happening. Just wishful thinking. I loved his duet with Angie so much. Would love to see him on the Finale! |

Looking at that diagram, looks like only 12 seats available for stage seating?
From this, it looks like the catwalk is going to be up really high - three steps up, then up to the round bit, then another three steps. Hope he doesn't fall off - though there'll be plenty of people happy to catch him - most of them on this board! |

From this, it looks like the catwalk is going to be up really high - three steps up, then up to the round bit, then another three steps. Hope he doesn't fall off - though there'll be plenty of people happy to catch him - most of them on this board! I got the same email for the Vancouver show. I think there will be 12 chairs on the other side as well, so we're only seeing one side of the stage. If you look at the map on ticket master the stage juts out on both sides. |
