I'm truly happy that Adam got to collaborate with a current artist and is getting airplay all over the world. If you're not liking the video I suggest as per Shosh checking out Avicii's other videos and what's featured or 'mentioned' (whatever you mean by that) there. Very equal that all songs are Avicii songs only - how could he pick one and do it differently throwing shade to other vocalists that he's worked and had success with? The song is great and I hope it connects with people.At the moment I'm excited about the next thing, i.e. tour with Queen and assume Adam is working hard with the songs he'll gonna perform. I'm a fan because of his voice and artistry, and I'm happily following his path, what he'll do after the tour and where his spirit's gonna take him. I wish that all of you who have found a way to be disappointed somehow would stop and think. IMO this should be all about Adam and what he wants. I'm just along for the ride - and it's been a pleasurable one. PS I'll be giving hits to LMD video - not on a loop or repeated playlist but individual spins a couple of times every day, searching a bit differently from time to time because I like the song and it deserves it. And I don't consider it 'a waste of time'.Thank you. I totally agree with this! You expressed my thoughts much better than I did. |

Did you spot Allison last night? I knew she was working as a backup singer on Idol, but totally forgot to look for her and I've already deleted the finale. Darn! I think working with Ricky Minor is terrific for her. It's a paycheck and he seems like a great guy. As for Adam, for all the reasons already given, working with Avicii has been very good for him. I just found the LMD video boring. Not telling anyone else not to watch. |

I just don't understand the push back against this song. After all the Adam needs a collab with a big artist, Adam needs writing credits on a hit, Adam needs to be on the radio, etc. Here it is, all those things in one song. I just don't get it. No push back from me against this song. But I am pushing back against thinking that spamming Vevo videos will help anything. Not sure how much clearer I can be -- Don't do it. It will not help Adam, and it might hurt him. If you do anything on Google they know who you are when you are on YouTube. They are far more sophisticated than just using IP address. Please do not spam VEVO!! ** On LMD, I love this song. But it is Avicii's single, not Adam's. If it is a hit, it will be Avicii's hit. ** Some people are bothered by the fact that Avicii credits the vocalists as songwriters vs. featured artists. Being a songwriter is better because you get royalties. Being a featured artist gets you a very small, one time payment. Adam has probably made more from LMD royalties than for any track on Trespassing because he gets a share of ever TRUE album sale. ** Just a final reminder, play LMD to hear it. It amazes me that some Adam fans still act like he's a young kid just leaving Idol and that we all have to protect him at every turn,whether he needs protection or not. I adore Adam ,but he's a grown man with talent and smarts galore. He needs our support as fans ,but IMO he can take care of himself and he knows what he wants and he knows how to get there. To me,any Avicii discord is pretty shortsighted and Out there :  I'm thrilled that Avicii has Adam on his album, and hope for more Adam and Avicii in the future. I think some fans are protective but mostly after 5 years in this fandom, I have learned that almost all Adam fans are so passionate in their belief that he deserves to be a mega-star that they just want to do anything to help him. Mostly that has good results, sometimes it has not so good results. And sometimes like today, it make me do crazy things! I almost bought some tickets today to a concert were I have great seats to get even greater seats!! That is the definition of insane! |

Well it's been a crazy couple of days! 2 nights with virtually NO sleep thanks to STRESS and EXCITEMENT of QAL coming to Aussie - the hope & expectation that NZ was to be included, the disappointment of finding out it was not QAL but the Eagles (my fave band, so in some ways a consolation prize :D ) THEN the STRESS of getting tickets to Melbourne - deciding that one Aussie show would have to suffice due to lack of funds.... Having to rely on the MOST AWESOME friends to get tickets as I was teaching at the time of the pre-sale..... waiting, waiting, waiting to find out if they were successful .... over half an hour after presale started - SUCCESS!!!!!!!We had organised FOUR people to co-ordinate to try and get seats for 9 of us..... all had issues with the site crashing..... eventually got 9 seats together tho! \o/ Not quite as close as we had hoped for, but not really an issue - If the diagram of the Queen set is accurate, then we'll be about 27-30 rows back on the floor.... so decent enough seats! Not really worried - I for one, just can not wait to hear THAT UNBELIEVABLE VOICE LIVE again!!!!!!!! Now it's just a matter of finding cheap affordable accommodation for the 14 of us heading to Melbourne from NZ! Oh and booking flights! Only 99 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!!       |
