Stray bit of information- Queen, especially Brian May, has played a role in helping a band fronted by one of Adam's friends gain some success. The Swedish-born Colt and African-American vocalist Ty Taylor came together to form VT in 2010, adding veteran bassist Rick Barrio Dill and drummer Richard Danielson. The band began playing covers and originals in the old, gritty Rhythm & Blues style at Santa Monica's famous blues club Harvelle's. The group's weekly shows quickly sold out and soon the boys found themselves signed by the legendary manager Doc McGhee, who had managed Bon Jovi, Motley Crue and KISS.The band then went to the U.K., employing an intriguing strategy. Savvy to the phenomenon that American roots music is intensely popular in Europe, the group built their brand on the road around the U.K. before returning to the U.S. Taylor has played in a Broadway production of "We Will Rock You," a musical based on the songs of Queen, which led to a relationship with Queen's Brian May. When May decided to do a European tour, he invited VT along. This came from an article about Vintage Trouble playing at the Santa Cruz Blues Festival. I want to see Adam in a leather kilt....as a badpiper! I am sure that Jonny and the folks at Skingraft can whip up something for him! And Adam would look great in a leather kilt -- not like Kanye with his hoodie and sweats version! Wow! for the Highlander segment, for sure! I haven't seen anything about Adam talking with different designers for the tour. Maybe he's asked them to keep quiet, or maybe he working with his friend at Skingraft. Wherever he goes, he can't go wrong with leather...

Remember that silvery sparkly jacket he wore at DIVAS? I believe it was from The Blonds? I am hoping for that as one of his jackets. But I am also all for this kilt. As a matter of fact, can someone please tweet this photo to him?

Besides good training & technique, if we can go by Adam's interviews, he has said, rest, plenty of water, Throat Coat tea, less talking! I have heard others say lots of water too. Notice how often we see pics of him with a bottle of water in his hand! Ditto what she said. The most important of which is good technique. If you are singing correctly, with the proper placement and breath support, and without pushing or straining your voice, but letting your body's natural resonance provide the power (something you have to learn through training and drill), you don't stress the vocal cords and risk injury. If a singer doesn't have that technique and training, and if they are constantly pushing their voice for high notes and for power, damage to the cords is almost inevitable. Yes to lots of water. Also, to not drinking alcohol and singing, as the alcohol dries out the throat. Adam is pretty good about that most of the time. And rest/sleep is very important. Even if Adam had the energy to go out partying all night after shows, it would be unwise because of the effect on his voice. Some singers get neurotic about caring for their voice, but proper technique, rest, and hydration go a long way toward keeping the voice healthy.
