Super Ninja Award to Nic42!!
Adam is in Avicii’s “Lay Me Down” Music Video!!
Avicii revealed that the LMD music video was filmed at his concert at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm but he did not confirm which of the two concert dates it was. Adam attended the February 28, 2014 concert so there was a chance he might have been captured on that music video – along with 40,000 other people.
Nic42 has answered that question --- and the answer is YES! Here is his post about his detective work!
What do you think, is that Adam?
Talking about going / being slightly mad... Yesterday I wrote a line about that Adam could very well be in the Lay Me Down concert video, since he was at one of the concerts. And I just had to try to find out whether that was indeed so. If that isn't being a bit insane, I don't know what is
But here's my thoughts:
Adam was at the show on Feb 28
During that show Avicii wore a black t-shirt (he wore a white one at next day's show)
Adam was next to a camera (or something) and mix tables, a bit higher than the rest of the audience, straight in front of the stage
There are a few shots in the video where you can see Avicii on the back, looking at the audience
In one of those shots (at 2:08) you can see a girl, that looks like the girl that Adam was with at the concert
And I am pretty sure, comparing the viewpoint from the 'it's your fucking song!' video to the image from the video at 2:08, knowing that this part was shot on the night that Adam was there, and the fact that this girl looks pretty similar (as far as you can see on the blurry screencap), and that there is a taller person in a shirt that could well be black and white behind her, that Adam is in the new video of Lay Me Down after all.
What do you think?
BTW Obsessed... Who... Me?? Nah... Just normal curiosity, right?
Edit: to avoid misunderstandings: I LOVE Avicii, went to his Amsterdam show and had a awesome awwesometime! And I don't care at all whether Adam is in this video or not, and if there ever will be a proper video I fully expect neither Adam nor Avicii or Niles to be in there. But I just wanted to know.

#25 “Hammer to Fall” (1984)
Written by: Brian May.
Released on The Works on February 27, 1984 and as a single September 10, 1984 (UK), October 12, 1984 (US).
The Works included two Brian May rock tracks. They were released on the same single “Hammer to Fall” (A side) and “Tear It Up” (B Side). Queen has never performed the original arrangement of this song live in North America. Q+PR did perform a slower ballad arrangement during their tour, but I think it is time for Queen to bring the real, hard rock version of this song to North America. Yes, this one, in the original live arrangement is on my QAL wish list!
For the carnivorous, rewards are to be found in the thundering Led Zeppelinisms of "Tear It Up" and "Hammer to Fall"

The meaning of “Hammer to Fall” was debated by Queen fans for many years. Brian finally explained a bit about it.
"The mushroom cloud thing was for me very real part of my childhood trough the Cuba crisis. We thought the bomb was about to drop, and I used to have dreams about that."
Brian May - 2003, Greatest Video Hits 2 DVD commentary
In April 2004, Brian explained the meaning on his website in this post:
Sat 24 Apr 04**
"Hammer to Fall" is really about life and death, and being aware of death as being part of life. I was inspired, I think, by "Waiting for Godot" ...although there are a lot of other things mixed up with it in there ... The Hammer coming down is only a symbol of the Grim Reaper doing his job!!
... the last verse of "Hammer to Fall"? Well, it's always been a personal kind of part - the spectre of the mushroom cloud was absolutely a real part of my childhood ... we were constantly told it was going to happen, and we ought to hide somewhere if the four-minute warning was given (how was it going to be given ???!!) And we should not LOOK at the blast !!! As if there would be a choice ... In the musical, the song (at my instigation, inspired by what Ben did with the script at the 11th hour) became re-oriented as a struggle between two lovers. Constraints of sense and time made this last verse difficult to include. So I was happy to leave it out.
The last verse is really, as I look at it now, one of my protests against violent solutions, so it should not be too out of place in a Christian perspective, though I am probably not a very good Christian!! And an awful lot of people in the world STILL seem to be doing violence in the name of Christianity, which appalls me. How our Western leaders justify this in their minds baffles me completely. I am praying we soon get a change.

For Brian's 1998 Another World tour, he slowed down the intro of the song considerably (sounding almost like the intro of It's Late) before speeding it up in the middle. This arrangement was also used to during the 2005 and 2006 Queen + Paul Rodgers tours.

Hammer to Fall
Here we stand or here we fall
History won't care at all
Make the bed light the light
Lady Mercy won't be home tonight yeah
You don't waste no time at all
Don't hear the bell but you answer the call
It comes to you as to us all
We're just waiting
For the hammer to fall
Oh every night and every day
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face the Western Way
Build your muscles as your body decays yeah
Toe your line and play their game yeah
Let the anaesthetic cover it all
Till one day they call your name
You know it's time for the hammer to fall
Rich or poor or famous
For your truth it's all the same (oh no oh no)
Lock your door the rain is pouring
Through your window pane (oh no)
Baby now your struggle's all in vain
For we who grew up tall and proud
In the shadow of the mushroom cloud
Convinced our voices can't be heard
We just wanna scream it louder and louder louder
What the hell we fighting for?
Just surrender and it won't hurt at all
You just got time to say your prayers
While your waiting for the hammer to hammer to fall
It's gonna fall
Hammer..you know..hammer to fall
Waiting for the hammer to fall now baby
While you're waiting for the hammer to fall
Give it to me one more time
