I had a feeling that there would be a second Melbourne concert on the Saturday night, so we all agreed to book accommodation for that night just in case.... either way a 2nd night in Melbourne can't be a bad thing, right?! But now the fact that we get to see QAL TWICE when we thought we weren't going to see them at all is just beyond a fantasy... no this cannot be the real life! :D Got my ticket for the Saturday concert - a lot closer than Friday - still not in the front sections, but 10 rows back from the end of the 'catwalk' so I'm not complaining! Only 94 days til I see that gorgeous man and hear that incredible voice LIVE again!!! And in the meantime many, many concerts to enjoy and to follow everyone's journey throughtout NA. Aren't we just so darn lucky??!!!

'Gelly @14gelly 9m Top 5 Must-See Shows This Summer « Mix 104.1 cbsloc.al/1mgJNQ6 / Queen with Adam Lambert' 5. Queen with Adam Lambert Where: TD Garden When: July 22nd (Saturday) American Idol veteran Adam Lambert, and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, will be taking the stage at the TD Garden on July 22nd. There are still tickets left and you can get them here! Although no one will ever replace frontman Freddie Mercury, Adam Lambert pays tribute to the late rock god whenever he takes the stage with Queen. If you’re hesitant about seeing Queen without Freddie, our classic rock sister station is here for moral support. Read why WZLX thinks you should accept Adam Lambert as Queen’s new frontman. The article linked above in shimoli's post is typical of so many I've read praising Freddie (and rightly so), but seeming to not realize how important Brian and Roger were/are to every aspect of Queen. They must have to bite their tongues often. I imagine many casual fans think Freddie wrote all the songs. Whether it's as instrumentalists, singers or composers, it was the four, not just one who made Queen what it was. The more I listen to their music (thanks Q3 and Talon), the more I appreciate their gifts. What good fortune for us all that they came together, and what good fortune that B & R now have Adam to do this great collaboration.

What many fail to realize, in the press and in the comments sections of articles, is that Adam has introduced Queen to a whole new set of fans...I never knew a thing about Queen until Adam.
So for all the bemoaning about a deceased Freddie.. Adam is helping Queen introduce a new generation to their incredible music with live shows.
IMHO, Queen and Adam is a marriage made in heaven and thanks to Adam many of his fans are now fans of Queen.I know I am.

I just watched the Alfie Boe documentary. Wow! Apart from the obvious similarities, (gay, theatrical) there's Freddie being self conscious about his teeth and Adam about his skin. Both felt they were outsiders growing up. Listening to Alfie trying to sing 'The Show must go on' just goes to show how amazing Adam is in that he is classically trained but can still get the passion in and tell a story when he sings. Yes, I know that's an unfair comparison as Alfie was only 19 when he made that demo. I did like Alfie's 'Mother Love' as he seemed to be able to turn off his operatic voice and his Barcelona was sensational. Here it is again for those who may have missed it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSuLhVFSQZMWhen I watched the video I noticed to the right side all the different Freddie interview videos one can watch. Really interesting! Thanks Curly!
