BriDr. Brian May @drbrianmay · 27s Well, all I can say so far @adamaddict is ... if you want to be ready, get your EARLY Queen albums out ! (among others !) Bri *** Between these two tweets I am so psyched! I wonder if Brian knows I have been dusting off the EARLY Queen since the rumors of this tour surfaced!!!

Where is the Chicago concert thread. I can find the meet up thread but I guess I am blind and don't see it. Anyway, I posted in the Chicago meet up - Looking for a ticket (just being there is what i want- have decided I would be nuts if I missed it) - Would be interested in sharing a room . Also, any info/recommendations that can be provided would be appreciated. Send a PM or see my post in the Chicago meet up thread. Plans are to arrive on 6/17 and fly out day after concert (mid-afternoon). Thanks everyone. Just an FYI - helping friend that just had surgery so won't be able to follow-up/respond until tomorrow morning.

Can't find the Chicago concert thread, either!
Eygads!!! Three weeks from today it begins!!! This will be my 'Odyssey of Queen' summer . . . I wonder if I should rename it the "Reaching for the Stars" summer - I love that! Thanks, Bri!
Tweeted my suggestions: Everything performed at Hammersmith AND Bicycle Race, Killer Queen, and I'm In Love With My Car (homage to DH!).
BTW, Talon . . . . your comment brought me right back to the GNT days and all the 'excitement' we saw!!

Well if you follow the link in my sig you will see a list of all the albums with links to the entries (like the ones I've been posting)... I would think EARLY albums would mean songs from Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night At The Opera, and A Day At The Races but translating Brian-ese it could also mean News of the World, Jazz, or The Game too... IT also means: HITS: Keep Yourself Alive, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Killer Queen, Now I'm Here, Bohemian Rhapsody, You're My Best Friend, Somebody To Love INTERESTING: Liar, White Queen, In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited, Stone Cold Crazy, Tenement Funster, Death On Two Legs, Long Away, NOT HITS BUT USUAL SUSPECTS: '39, Love Of My Life, Tie Your Mother Down, I'm In Love With My Car Talon, My interpretation of "EARLY Queen albums" is Queen, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack. The three albums that predate A Night at the Opera. I don't expect them to be too crazy with the setlist and my guess is Brian is referring to "Killer Queen". *** From today's opening post! Here are the songs from the early albums that they performed a lot on tour -- I bolded what I think are the most likely. Queen: Son And Daughter, Keep Yourself Alive, Liar. Plus not released but played on tour "Hangman". Early tour cover and my dream of Adam covering Elvis! "Jailhouse Rock". Not happening but I am from Tupelo! Queen II: Father to Son, Ogre Battle, White Queen, Seven Seas of Rhye, The March of the Black Queen, Sheer Heart Attack: Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, Flick Of The Wrist, In The Lap Of The Gods, Killer Queen, Bring Back That Leroy Brown

The Chicago meet up and concert thread is on page two of the Members only section -- about halfway down.

Amazing to be reaching for the stars again on this scale. Good name for the tour. I think they are just as excited as we are...and we are very excited!! I'm trying to contain my excitement but it's becoming very difficult.
